Q8car have a beta version of their new site online now and although it seems better than their previous one it still needs a lot of work. For one thing the site seems a bit sluggish probably because of the amount of flash on the site but at least they’re still testing it out so thats a good thing. Here is a link to the beta site. I am an expat living in kuwait and have been using q8cars for the last 2 years. Coming from the UK i must admit the site looks like rubbish as most of the kuwait sites do when compared to western ones however i have never used a more effective site. I have sold 3 cars since i have been here and so have all my mates some of which have literally sold in 3 hours. The service is great and i hope it keeps growing because i honestly do not know a person who does not know this website.
As far as the new website goes, i would prefer if the main page had less advertisements of course but im sure the reason they are having trouble taking care of it is simple. MONEY. Advertisements bring cash and a site with that kind of traffic is probably doing very well. Many sites that trash talk about q8car dream of probably having 1 of these paid banners so lets not kid ourselves shall we.
The navigation of the site is extremely smooth. The car listings page is excellent you can navigate to all kinds of places straight from that page which i think is brilliant. The layout and design is very smooth and easy on the eye. The way in which they have added video and car photos is also an interesting way to keep the user stuck to the site when he is finished browsing. I see that they are planning on adding markets which i think will take this website to the next level.
I think the new site is def a step in the right direction and to be honest they have so many active listings weekly its refreshing. I wish that new sites keep coming up but for heavens sake have something different to offer and stop copying. I like Chocolate and there are only so many different flavors of it. I will not keep getting chocolate from different places. At the end i will stick to the one i have been eating for ages unless a new place adds caramel on the chocolate catch my drift.
These are my two cents hope to see more from this site in the future and for all those who are considering selling your car for f???s sake stop focusing on the trivial things and try q8car because it will shock you unless you drive a really miserable ride thats not in demand. in THAT CASE blame your self hahahahahh
Not as good as i thought.. but better than before!
there will be huge pressure on q8car from competitors, lots of new sites are opening, many are just a copy of q8car and others are just very good “that is if they continue what their doing”…
So ill be expecting the car market to change a lot with many new and interesting ideas this coming year

Oh my god, I just cannot believe it in kuwait, they just love copying stuff from other people, If I did a design at uni over here in Australia like that, not only will I go to Uni court, but also Ill be suspended from my scholarship and sent back home safely.

my kuwaiti friends here in australia are laughing their assess off over the same design principles, I showed it to my multimedia design lecturer and subjects coordinator and the first thing he asked me was
“any design concept laws? or copyright laws being practiced where you are from son?”

This has been the logo of q8car since Jan 2004 can get the reference from alexa wayback machine. while i checked for your site which doesnt have any data of your site. While if it was a Plagiarism i think you should have reported way back in 2004 what were you doing these many years?
q8car.com logo was designed in 2001 FYI and honestly you guys are really funny.
One guy says 2004, the other says 2001, the logo is clearly copied hands down. The line over the text is not only a carbon copy in the two designs, but its placement as well.
So you know, carsales.com.au have been in the business, online with its design since 1999. Beat that boys.
