I don’t go to the movies here much because of the censorship but yesterday I ended up going to watch Star Trek at the Avenues cinema with Marzouq, Nibaq, k.thekuwaiti and some other friends. It was my first time trying out the VIP theater and I think I might start going to the movies more often because of it. The theater fits around 20 seats all of which can be electronically controlled to recline. The VIP section also has its own munchies bar which means you don’t have to wait in the long lines outside with everyone else. It feels like sitting and watching a movie at home on a very huge screen. All that for just KD6 which is a steal!
Star Trek was a great movie, definitely the best Star Trek yet.

I went there long time ago and as I was watching the movie I saw this women alone with her kid and she started to breast feeding the kid.

Unfortunately I found Star Trek very disappointing.
Is the sound LOUD in the VIP section or can I take a nap there without worrying about loud noises waking me up?

Awesome movie, I went last nigh unwillingly to the movie with a friend. I’m not a big fan of star trek but I admit that it was a great movie, didn’t expect it to be this good

i hate the vip cinema ,it is always freezing there i cant stop shaking! + no matter how many person u go with, u will feel like you are alone,coz of the distance between the seats!!! . And i personally like to chat a little once and a while during the movies,but in vip there is no one to talk to…
how was the surround sound in the VIP section,
all the theaters in kuwait have very poor surround sound,they just crank up the volume.

Any movie that is less entertaining because a few scenes a lopped off isn’t worth watching. The censorship doesn’t bother me; it’s the crappy editing when they cut out the scenes.
