No more baseball fields

Around 6 years ago I posted about these amazing baseball fields off the 6th Ring Road right before 360 Mall (pictured above). There were two fields stuck next to each other and they both stuck out like an oasis in the desert. Well for some odd reason the fields are not there anymore. Below is how the baseball field currently looks like, it’s depressing.

It’s like they were never there! Luckily I took a few pictures of the baseball field back then and you can check them out [Here]

The Florence Alnasrallah Baseball Fields were used by the US military and contractors. I think it’s different from the Kuwait’s Little League fields.

KLL is Florence Alnasrallah Baseball Fields one and the same

used by all GCC & Expats from all nationality’s

i was a long time member of the KLL (Kuwait little league)it was land that was given to the KLL organization years back (Like late 1980’s) and it was taken back by the Kuwait government (go figure huh!) to be used for something obviously can’t have nothing nice and I see they are making good on the land

origin of the field being called Florence Alnasrallah Baseball Fields is that the long time president of the organization Ottoman Al-Naseallah (bu Ibrahim ) his late wife Florence (may god rest her soul) a core member & supporter of KLL gave me and many others memories that will be cherished forever…… Bu & Um Ibrahim thank you for everything you’ve done

That’s what K said but I replied saying I don’t think theyre the same. If they were wouldn’t their new fields also have grass? I don’t know I guess they could be but maybe they just no longer have the financial means to take care of grass or something…

Hi all,

I’m a board member at the KLL and its the same league thats been around for over 30 years. 2 years ago we were forced to leave our old location in South Surra by the miniculpality of Kuwait and we relocated to the Hunting and Equestrian club. The place is much larger than the last one and more expats and Kuwaitis have joined since the relocation. I urge all interested persons to visit our website for information on registering for the 2011-2012 season.

Thanks,

Mijbil
