I got a nasty chip in my windshield the other day from a flying pebble and if that wasn’t bad enough the chip happened right up in the middle of my line of sight. It was extremely annoying and I wanted to fix it right away so I ended up taking it to our friends at Al Falah Car Wash since they recently started repairing windshields.
It took them around half and hour to repair two chips in my windshield (the new one and an older tiny one) and now my windshield looks new again. It cost me around KD5 plus I tipped the repair guy. They did a great job so I highly recommend them plus you can get your car washed when you’re done.

Sounds good. I have a nasty chip on my windshield and 5 KD sounds like a very decent price.

they do not repair cracks unfortunately, since the contraption they use to repair the chips is circular, its only good for those spider-web chips.
+ u can get it done for 3KD on Canada Dry St. FYI (the wont wash ur car tho).
the jist of it is the guy drills a hole into the middle of the crack, pours in a substance, attaches that funny looking contraption for a while (the substance is probably a form of liquid silicon which spreads into the recesses of the web), then he hits that badboy with UV light, to make it dry.
in the end, u are left with a small dot instead of a crack. very efficient.
hmm..is there something like dont wash your car within 24 hrs after your glass repairing?
half and hour?? I got my windshield repaired in Shuwaikh they just drill a small hole on both ends of the small crack and put something on it (resin I think) and then they expose it to light just like in the picture. it all took just 10 minutes
Does it remove the chips or just keep them from expanding ?

but do they remove long cracks, say 3-5 inches?
It’s KD5 because it cost KD5 to fix, I am guessing price varies depending on crack or chip size etc..
I don’t know if they remove long crack or what not, best bet is to call them or pass by.
@Vampire: if its a long crack they may not be able to fix it. These repairs are mostly for chipped glass.
The usual procedure is to drill into the chipped area, fill it with some kind of epoxy or acrylic material, press it into place with a clamp and then hit it with black light.
Try some of the glass repair places on Canada Dry street, they do it for about 2 or 3 KD
I am sure a lot of readers will read this so just dropping in a tip.
Remember “FIX IT AS FAST AS YOU CAN. THE MORE FRESHER THE CRACK/CHIP, THE BETTER IT CAN BE FIXED – SOMETIMES EVEN 100%, PROVIDED WATER & DUST DOES NOT SEEP INSIDE”.
I had got almost a 6 inch long crack but I was not quick (as I did not know) and by then my HARAS had already washed my car several times. The crack got fixed fine but still could spot a very thin line.
Most cracks can be fixed as long as they dont travel into the outer & unreacheable edges & into the corners.
What is the location of Al Falah? could you post a google map?

yeah and for 500fils extra you can fix it at alfalah and not get stuck in canada dry traffic.

There is a great place in fahaheel and they are great 2 it takes up to 15 -20 minutes to fix them am a regular customer and my mini looks great instead of paying 290kd for a new glass.
Yes if you have big cracks you will see a thin line but it’s still great and you won’t have any problem during you car passing since it hardly shows from outside.

Hey Jeff take the first right before the sultan center and then the first right again and drive 20 meters you will find a small store on the left side. The store is just opposite of a carpenter.

Does the 5KD include the car wash also? otherwise it’s a HUGE ripoff bc in shuwaikh it’s only 2KD at almost all the shops.
Having trouble doing the maths? KD5 for 2 cracks that means its KD2.5 per crack.
Oh 2 cracks, must’ve missed that, anyway it’s still cheaper in Shuwaikh and u probably need to wait in line or sthg at al falah bc it’s so busy at all times 😉

*You will not need an appointment for windshield repair, and you will not wait in the regular car wash line for this service. You may also be in the queue for a car wash while you get your windshield repaired so you will not go to the back of the line if you want to wash your car afterwards.
