“How I Got There” is a dramatic action thriller set in a colorful high energy version of modern Kuwait. I just watched the trailer and it looks pretty great and even stars Ron Perlman from the Hellboy movies.
The film is premiering next month at the Red Sea Int. Film Festival in Saudi Arabia and you can follow them on Instagram @howigotthere

Looks dope 🔥
Hmm
Lets see how fast the Negative Phenomena guys hit the ban button !
How come no private company or govt funded company in Kuwait ever invests in films but all the other GCC countries do or have ? Why is Kuwait always always behind or last place when it used to be the leader in the GCC ?
Because governments are too scared and conservative. Besides, nothing good ever comes from government agencies getting involved in filmmaking. Imagine a Kuwaiti-backed movie being screened at a North American film festival and somebody throws a tantrum that alcohol or pork was served before the screening of that movie or that female attendees weren’t wearing hijabs. Anything can turn into “a PR disaster” if someone in power gets offended over the smallest things.
Now that you put it that way, the mood is deflated. Who knows maybe your right or maybe even kinda right. I could see the whole tantrum thing become a reality. Sad cause Qatar & Abu Dhabi has invested in some form of big picture films.
looks like it’s going to be good, excited to see local talent standout, especially considering the caliber of actors in this film. And to think all this was done with NO support from govt or local private companies, as @Mishooooole mentioned.
I Wish them the best!
