For those of you who’ve been following the blog for a long time, you will know the story of the old photographer. Sadly, I just found out he passed away recently at the age of 84. May he rest in peace.

Oh soo sad & you helped him by cleaning his place …. RIP …!!!
We never ended up cleaning up his place. Although at first he wanted us to clean his place when we went with a contractor (we were gonna fix his bathroom) he freaked out and didn’t want us to change anything.
May his soul rest in peace…

Death of analog photography as we know it in this country.
Mark, try laying your hands on ‘On Photography’ by Susan Sontag. Is an excellent read. It’s another matter took me six months to finish reading it.
Now that he is in a happier place, may he rest in peace. Mark you made his last few years a little interesting, with your interaction and help. Good on you mate! Keep up the good work, it helps keep the softer side of life in focus.

Very sad to hear, I wondered about him when the shop he ‘lived’ in looked renovated with the shutters down.He was a caretaker of the cats in that area and I was used to always seeing him there since I remember. Allah Yerhama.
