Al Ghazeer is the name of the third dhow that one can sail om, at the Radisson SAS.

Seems hardly fair because I am sure many just got the answer off of others’ post. I thought you would have hid the posts or other such website tech stuff that I am not aware of.

to be honest, i did not know the correct answer. just checked what others wrote and copied it :'(
i think that the fastest and first person who replied shall be awarded in the name of being fair.

so now everyone’s awake and are actually giving some input to a post lol

oh and the answer is: you know what’s everyone’s been saying up 😛

The name of the 3rd dhow is the Al Ghazeer and was built in 1983 by Abdul-Hussein Muhammad Rafie Marafie who was inspired by his uncle Ali Hussein Marafie who built the Muhammad I (another ship) in 1916. The Al Ghazeer was used in Abdul-Hussein’s famous journey from the ports of India (Calicut) through the Indian Ocean to Kuwait.

Abdul-Hussein was born in the Al-Wasat area of Kuwait but at the age of 9 moved to Bombay, India with his father to study. He returned to Kuwait at the age of 19 to assist his father in their growing trading company. He later moved to Germany and then traveled to the USA where he learned to make under water ship repairs. He speaks Arabic, Urdu, German, and English fluently.

I’m not entering the contest, but did think the history of the ship was quite interesting and thought I would share as it appears most responses are just copied from previous replies.

The name of third dhow that is used by Radisson Blu Hotel for sail is Al Ghazeer

Al Ghazeer!

C’mon, Mark, c’mon – if I randomly get this, there’s a sweet invite in it for you!

Al Ghazeer

Great contest! Motivates one to stay back in Kuwait and not travel as soon as a holiday is declared!

Well thought of Mark!
