Depending on how you register it, if its on the companies name yes, in my case its in my wife’s name so no.
Ohhh sick. What made you get a Raptor?
Complicated but basically was looking at importing a GX550 from the US, then looked at the Ineos and then the Wrangler 392. Then realized I liked owning a pick up truck and the Raptor is like the ultimate pick up truck so ended up with that.
ah gotcha. just a quick Q if you were to get a 2 door SUV what would be your pick these days? Jimny, LC70, and Patrol Super Safari all look so good

Been eyeing the GX550 from afar, any idea how much it would cost to import it from the US all inclusive?
@car_agency told me 26,900 delivered to kuwait for the Overtrail model but without all the clearance fees. I don’t know how reliable they are, based on their stories it seems they have some issues at the moment with people suing them. I tried ordering directly myself through a relative who works at a dealership, it was going to cost me 26,800 after taxes. Doesn’t include shipping to Kuwait or anything. Plus title takes up to two months to come out which means I’d have to find a place to store the car. It was just too much of a headache for a car that wouldn’t be supported by the dealer locally nor will any parts be available for it. So decided to drop the idea.

Did u get the Focal plug and play kit for the Hilux? Did u change all doors?
What was the sound improvement like?
Yeah, huge difference in the front, not so much in the back. Like if I was to do it again I wouldn’t change the rears. Also did sound deadening for the doors to help.

I too am selling off my overland build that ive had for a while and I pulled the plug and decided to get a ford.
But I ordered the new ford everest.
The only sad part is its been over a week and I am still waiting for them to tell me my car is ready.
yeah dealer told me it takes 7-10 days which sucks, I just want to be able to drive out with the car same day I buy it 🙁
also a friend of mine told me about a ford programmer in kuwait who can get features that are not enabled, enabled. I think he told me he can also get ford pass working.
ya there is one. Not sure if i should publicly mention or no.
But yeah he charges 30kd and sets up the internet in the vehicle. unlocks all features, including ford pass that allows you to start and stop the car using your phone.

No there is no delay in plates. Because the registration and plates were issued a day later.
On my MOI and mobile ID it already shows the vehicle and plates registered to my name the next day itself.
So i went one evening and completed the purchase formalities and left my civil id for them to do the golden insurance and registration. the next day i had the civil id back and the vehicle was already registered on my name.
Check on your wife’s mobile id, maybe the cars already registered. Because the plates are issued the same time the number is alotted.
What’s a golden insurance?
you need to move stateside … i bought my Ford Ranger online from the dealer while working in Kazakhstan and had someone go pick it up and drive it home for me the same day
