Grilled Lobster at IKEA

lobster

When I first heard that IKEA was serving grilled lobster alongside their usual meatballs and chicken nuggets, I thought it was funny, but then I became curious. Was it any good? So yesterday I decided to pass by and try it out.

It was a bit crowded when I dropped by for lunch since they had a buy one get one free offer on their meatballs dishes. When my turn finally came up I asked for the grilled lobster and noticed the woman next to me look at me and smile as if I had just told a lame joke. But, the look on her face when I got handed my lobster dish was priceless. IKEA is the last place you’d expect to find lobster on the menu which is why I was so curious to try it.

The grilled lobster costs KD4.750 and comes with a side of steamed vegetables or french fries. And unsurprisingly, you get what you pay for. The lobster was super dry, tough and bland, it didn’t even taste like lobster. Definitely not something I’d want to have again. My recommendation? Order the meatballs instead.

Thanks Grant

bloopers.mark248am1.wpenginepowered.com would just be the same blog with the same posts. ALL my posts have mistakes and it seems like its just getting worse 😳 😳 😳

i knew it πŸ™‚ even without trying them out and judging by the price of it. because the price of a real lobster is ranging from 10KD above.

Lobster in IKEA is like kale salad in McDonalds.

You know what food IS delicious in IKEA that you can’t get anywhere else? The Scandinavian products in their food section!
The Marabou chocolates, OLW chips, Lingonberry juice…….so good.

Fact: They actually started offering kale salads in McDonalds in America to boost their diminishing sales. This means kale is officially uncool now.

That garbage they serve at IKEA is what is known as fake lobster. Its called langostino and only the Europeans classify it as a lobster species.

On the other hand, those meatballs had horsemeat a couple of years ago.

Horse meat does the body good img.bleacherreport.net/img/images/photos/001/662/244/Alistair-Overeem-Double-Bi-Pose_crop_exact.jpg?w=1500&h=1500&q=85

Man I get stomach ache every time I decide to have something of them while am at their premises to hunt for furniture, no meatballs neither anything else is good.

Those meat balls are local product, so I doubt they have/had horse meat in the composition, maybe sheep/goat/camel. In Europe they might serve horse meat, not sure from where you got that fact, but in IKEA you can also have pork meat balls, along with a cold bear or wine instead of Pepsi.

That was in Europe, not Kuwait. The meat balls sold in IKEA Kuwait are locally produced by one of the local famous meat supplier, you can actually buy them at any supermarket.
Plenty of countries in Europe enjoy horse meat. Just write on the damn label that you are selling horse meat and not beef, let every customer decide if he wants to buy it or not.

This post can be recycled again and again for anything IKEA related by just changing “lobster” to anything IKEA sells, and play with the rest of the words a little. Seriously, I don’t mean that in a bad way, it just shows how much IKEA are willing to provide you with affordable options.

You get what you pay for at IKEA – from so-called ‘quality’ furniture to ‘real’ lobster
honestly mark, i am amazed they suckered you in on this one….

AS IS Section only at ikea or second hand ikea at 1/2 the price

Bad Food in IKEA isn’t what bothers me, it’s the over crowded, uncontrolled mass of people pushing you like they don’t care everywhere u go. Offers or no offers its always like that! The old smaller IKEA was so much civilized than this one. you can’t eat in IKEA without lookin at disgusting floors filled with stuff ppl throw and no one seems to care plus the trays all over the place from lazy ppl who wouldn’t take it away to the racks. THE KIDS ARE ANOTHER STORY! why didn’t they separate their play area! Ugh
