Amazon Now has Free Shipping to Kuwait!!

Something really weird happened to me yesterday. I was ordering the new AirFly Pro 2 (it’s a device that allows me to connect two bluetooth headphones to my iPad) and as I was checking out I noticed that Amazon weren’t charging me for shipping to Kuwait. It was making me pay the import charges, but shipping was free.

I placed the order and just a few moments ago it shipped to Kuwait using Aramex. So I just went through my wishlist to see if this was just a one time thing, or specific product offer, and nope, turns out a lot of the items on my wishlist can now be shipped to Kuwait for free which is crazy.

Turns out Amazon.com (US) has now introduced free delivery to Kuwait when you purchase one or more eligible items with an order value of USD 59 or more.

This is a game changer!

Please update us on if Aramex charges you an additional fee on top of the import charges paid to Amazon

Didn’t you call contact Amazon support and tell them to never ship you using Kharamex? What happened with that?

Cool. How do you know if it’s eligible for free shipping? I’m interested in getting some books.

I was so excited when I saw the post but lo and behold, not all items ship to Kuwait when I put in my Kuwait address but when I switched it to my US mailbox forwarder, everything showed up.

well I mention “when you purchase one or more eligible items”. Not everything can be shipped to Kuwait, that hasn’t changed, but the things that can be shipped majority are now free shipping.

I noticed this 2 days before. But they have updated the price for all items. Around 15 percent increase. Some items in the cart, it’s now shows “the price of the item you chose has changed”.

You can switch between a US and Kuwait address, prices don’t change. If something increased in price for you then it’s because it was probably discounted.

It is indeed on selected items and the fee is almost identical to my current shipper. Also, I don’t know who they use for shipping. It could be Kuwait Post for the final leg, which would be a disaster.

Not a game changer for me. Keep us updated on the final result once you get your order.

What you just said is not correct.

– There are no shipping fees, it’s free so it’s NOT almost identical to your current shipper. Unless of course your current shipper ships your items for free

– If you read the post you would have seen I mention they ship with Aramex, not Kuwait post.

So yes this is a game changer since it means you can now purchase stuff from the US and not paying any shipping.

$38.06 Import Charges & FREE Shipping to Kuwait Details
FREE delivery Wednesday, June 25 to Kuwait

They call it import charges. My shipper charges $39.20 and arrives in half the time. The juice is not worth the squeeze, especially Aramex.

Ok I see the issue, you don’t know what import charges are.

Import charges are related to customs fees taken by the government. It’s 5% tax on the value of the item plus around 1.5KD in fees. You pay the 5% customs no matter who you ship with. The 1.5kd fee on the otherhand varies. Aramex charges 1.5 for example but DHL charges 4.

If you prefer paying for shipping, that’s up to you, nobody here but you loses out, just don’t come in here leaving stupid conspiracy theories.

No conspiracy theories. I’m good with my $39.20 + KD 4 customs and handeling, arriving in one week to my door.

Enjoy your “free shipping” 😉

Just to clarify to anyone reading this what you’ve decided to do. You’ve decided you don’t want free shipping and instead prefer to continue paying for your shipping because you believe you don’t have to pay the 5% Kuwait customs fee if you pay for shipping.

I think this guy works for shipping companies and he wants people to “dis” like the new amazing awesome service from amazon

I looked at it again for several items. It works on some products some of the time. The best thing is to try it out on your item and see which option is cheaper, and by how much, then decide. Many items are not available for international shipping anyway.

Conclusion, it’s hit and miss, so shop and compare to see the final out-of-pocket amount you’ll end up paying, then decide.

And, no I’m not trolling, it’s just my opinion.

Now everyone knows you’re trolling. How don’t you understand what free means? Obviously free is going to be cheaper, why would anyone have to try both options to figure that out 🤦🏼‍♂️

Because the import charges for a speaker = $392 + FREE Shipping

You’re fixated on the word FREE. Shipping is FREE, yes, but $392 will come out of YOUR pocket for this FREE service for another reason called import charges.

Ship it through my shipper it’s $120 + KD4 ($13) = $133 versus $392 and FREE shipping.

Which NUMBER is smaller? $133 or $392?

Call it whatever. This is what will come out of your bank account.

Bottom line, compare before you ship. Don’t blindly choose this option just because it says FREE.

Import charges are set by Kuwait, not Amazon, and not your shipper.

There are only two calculations here (yours are obviously hilariously wrong):

Your Way: Item Cost + 8% US Tax + Your Shippers Shipping Cost + Kuwait Customs Clearance fee + 5% Kuwait Customs

or the new way free way which is:

Item Cost + Kuwait Customs Clearance fee+ 5% Customs

There is no third way. There is also no option where you don’t pay customs, it’s fixed for everyone. So you can throw whatever numbers you want here, it’s just you throwing numbers, not the actual facts.

Unfortunately, not all products are available for shipping to Kuwait. There are some sellers on Amazon that do not offer direct shipping to Kuwait.

Maybe with time everything on Amazon will be added for shipping to Kuwait.

Thanks
