Water Bar at Monoprix

If you haven’t been to Monoprix yet you’re missing out on a lot including their Water Bar. The Water Bar is their selection of premium water and it’s similar to how Dean & Deluca had a nice premium waters section when they first opened that looked like a vodka section. But, what makes Monoprix different is how expensive some of the bottles are with their most expensive one costing 40KD for a bottle of “handcrafted water” called Bling H2O which was voted the best tasting water in the world.

I’m not about to drop 40KD on a bottle to find out how good the water tastes but I might get a less fancy 5KD water the next time I get invited to dinner at a friend’s place. It could be the Kuwait equivalent of bringing a bottle of wine. Although, since we are on the subject of alcohol, Monoprix does carry a good selection of non-alcoholic wines, Champagnes, and even whisky.

I think it would be really interesting to do a blind taste test on these.
40kd water (and the other fancy brands) vs 100 fils bottled water.

I was gonna say the exact same thing but a taste test between the alcoholic and non alcoholic counterpart!

Don’t recall where but there was a show or a prank where guests at a fancy restaurant were given water from the garden hose in fancy bottles 😂 😂 And they all “reviewed” the different tastes when it was the same regular water all the time.

That first pic with the 40 Kd water reminded me of that 🥴

The Bling water costs $40, yet in Kuwait it’s 40 KD? Lol. Another example of how ridiculously and unnecessarily overpriced everything in Kuwait is, when all this kind of stuff is practically free abroad.

The KD 40 price is okay. It’s up to people to spend their money as they see fit.
My concern is ‘hand crafted water’. I am seriously interested in learning how you can make ‘hand crafted’ water.

The biggest breakdown of the price is the bottle itself. You’ll never see Bling H20 sold in a plastic bottle. Every single bottle from this brand is made from a beautiful bottle made of frosted glass. The frosted glass is limited edition, of course, and the bottles are also covered with hand-applied Swarovski crystals.

I guess these kind of stuff are for people who got millions and billions of dollars sitting in their bank for noting.. even if I buy I don’t have place in my 2bhk to store the bottle as it is mentioned the bottle holds the higher value… damn.. poor me..

Theo having billions in the account can only by Lamborigini . It cant save us from that day when God decided to call us back settle accounts. Therefore whatever limited uncertain time we have here spare these billions on those who are starving and fighting to breath well on this planet, rather than wasting it for some water claiming to be from Jupiter.

40 KD for a bottle of water? that 40 kd is a monthly grocery expenses for 2 people. you can get rice chicken spices vegetables fruits and snacks and pile it up for minimum 2 to 3 weeks

does anyone know are those non-alcoholic wines, Champagnes and whisky are halal? I’m just curious cuz if they are than i might end up buying them to taste + the bottles are gorgeous. (google didn’t helped me that’s why i ended up here)

So if it has 0% alcohol, and went through lab testing, how much halal do you want it to be? Or rather what will make it more halal? The labour was muslim? He said bismillah when putting on the cap?

bling trying to be the LV of water… Truly rich people don’t waste their money on nonsense like this.
