Kuwait Mosafer App for Traveling In and Out of Kuwait

Traveling next month into or out of Kuwait? The Kuwait Civil Aviation Authority has launched a web-based application to help make it more convenient for travelers that are departing or arriving to Kuwait post-August 1.

The app provides a variety of different services including booking your airport check-in visit time so you don’t have to wait at the check-in counters, you’ll also be able to get your boarding pass online (finally, it took a worldwide pandemic to make this happen) and the app also gives you baggage notifications which I am assuming is so travelers don’t huddle up around the conveyor belt waiting for their bags to come out.

The app looks pretty impressive and you don’t need to install it since it’s web-based, just visit kuwaitmosafer.com

Thanks Zaydoun

I am using the web-based version but it seems that I can´t do much till 96 hours prior to my flight, when I will be able (I guess) to add my flight and, maybe, enjoy all these services. So far, I only can see the usual health advice regarding COVID19 and a couple of FAQ in a list.

I am leaving Kuwait for good , but cant get any information from this app. Why do I need to use this app anyway ? I am leaving for good. Someone please advise on this issue. Tks for your help. Daniel Woods

Hi, I recently left Kuwait and you definitely need to show either your Civil ID card or the online version at immigration control.
Regarding the requirements to download and complete the app, I would say its advisable. Hope this helps.

this is confusing me,

my house helper residency is about to expire and she’s traveling for good, is this applicable? i can’t get a clear answer ;(

The app does not give you choices of flights.
When i want to list myself, i dont find my flight is listed on theday i want to teavel.

Hi Mark,

This app says its for both departing & arriving passengers from 1st August. But, some of my friends working in airlines are saying that ‘arrival’ to Kuwait is ONLY for those who’ll be issuing return tickets to Kuwait now, i.e. people who are currently in Kuwait & wish to travel out & back. They’re saying flights for people, even residents with valid residency who’re stranded outside Kuwait since March are still NOT permitted to enter Kuwait as from 1st August. Is this news true..? Kindly confirm if you have any idea.

I’ve been stuck outside Kuwait for almost 5 months now, away from my family, all alone…

Also, I do not understand why the news papers are mentioning that Kuwait had stopped commercial flights since *March 14* when actually it was since March 6th?? My return ticket was booked for 11th March but I was informed that my flight is cancelled as Kuwait has closed its airport. Others who got the news that Kuwait will be closing airport, paid high prices & booked return for 6th March, but upon arriving to the airport were informed that all flights to Kuwait have been cancelled by Kuwait government. Now this incident happened on 6th March, so why is Kuwait reporting that all commercial flights were stopped since 14th March..?

Anyways, hopong to return soon 😢

As far as I’m aware no announcement has been made on who will be able to fly back to Kuwait after august 1st or if expats in kuwait can fly out and back etc

My company has told me to return ASAP, and I have successfully booked a ticket one way with Kuwait airways on August 7th.

One would HOPE that they wouldn’t allow people to book tickets and then not travel. A lot of our staff have booked tickets – there’s going to be a lot of stranded people if what you say is true.

That being said, the British embassy issued some ambiguous advice last night that suggested what you’re saying is true so…….

I have one comment for the concerned authority who thought all this up if curfew starts at 9 pm and your flight is 1:40 am and you can only enter with the Qr code where as you go directly to the check in counter. How does that work?

So much for not thinking this trough. AGAIN!

Do you have a flight at 1 am? It is possible that flights are only during non lockdown hours? I haven’t heard of much midnight flights into/out of kuwait especially when a large portion if kuwait airways’ destinations aren’t available.

@mishoo go to safari u will find one website simply written “Kuwait mosafer” click that then u will find in the down sharing option click that then u can c add to screen that’s it thank you

Current advice if stranded outside Kuwait is to book the flight.
Download the Shlonik app and register.
Register on the above app (kuwaitmosafer).
Take a PCR test no more than 4 days before departure.
Have residency in Kuwait.
Quarantine for 14 days when you arrive.

It’s a bit late to change that advice given the holiday and the airport opening in 4/5 days.

Hello everyone expats is allowing to enter Kuwait I am working in Kuwait airline as well and am stuck since 5 month now successfully I booked my ticket everything is fine so mark u are asking u can go back to Kuwait safely and don’t forget guys to download the application prior the flight like 96 hrs and go for the pcr test prior the flight 96 hrs have a safe flight all

Hi Elham,

Since u said u’re workin in airlines, could u pls advise if Goa to Kuwait bookings r open? As I’m stuck in Goa & all the airlines I’ve been tryin to call have opened up for other gulf countries, but not to Kuwait. They’re sayin that unlike other gulf countries, Kuwait has not yet sent them official written approval that flights to Kuwait r open. So they can’t open bookings as they don’t want the same scene to happen again like last time (on 6th March every1 hurriedly issued expensive tickets but just before flight departure, Kuwait informed them that Kuwait airport is closed until further notice).

So, pls if u have any idea, lemme know so I can book my ticket.
Thanks!

A question, did anyone use this app successfully yet? I see that now I can add a flight but when I try to select airline, the one with I travel who is not shown in the drop-down menu.

What to say!!!…registered on the app on 27th, went there today to enter my flight details as requested 96hrs before my flight out of Kuwait 1st August, only to find that no flights are showing to depart, emailed customer service and recieved standard response that it will take a few hours to update flight list, just went back in after 3 hours to find that my Emirates flight for 1.40am 1st August is not in the app although it is confirmed ( checked with Emirates direct)….interesting to note that in the FAQ section of the Mosafer app it says the app is not mandatory. …so I called the airport and was told its only required for Kuwait Airways flights and that I didn’t need it to fly with other carriers….have to say i’m very confused ….

Same feeling here. I guess we will find all the answers when we will be at the line at the airport entrance wondering if they will let us go inside and take our flight… We are flying with Emirates too, on August 1st.

Paco,

I am travelling on August 7th EK858 to Dubia at 17:40 pm.

Did your flight go through or was it cancelled? and if it got cancelled, did they rebook your flight?

Our flight with Emirates was canceled so we better booked another one with Qatar Airways. Much better since we can avoid transit in Dubai, which requires a PCR test before flying from Kuwait.

Mark, I was told everyone has to have a pcr test flying qatar and emeritus airlines. This website is a real problem for a lot of people. Tk care

Hi,

Is anyone travelling from Kuwait to Dubai on Emirates Airlines during the week of 1-August to 7-August?

Did you flight get cancelled? If it got cancelled, did they rebook your ticket?

I am travelling on August 7th EK858 to Dubia at 17:40 pm and I am worried about cancellations.

I travelled on the 1st with Emirates to Dubai, you need pcr, travel insurance and health waiver form completed. ..since then I find out that they ban travel for 31 countries to and from Kuwait. I am not sure if it means that you cannot travel to another country if it is not on the list, this is unclear.

Hey,

Family residence renewed but CivilID is still under process. Can they travel out of Kuwait?

Thank you in advance

While adding passenger list in that origin country field is there which country should I choose I have already filled in nationality as IND , where nationality and origin country both are same

R u traveling *back* to Kuwait…or r u traveling out of Kuwait?? If u’re traveling *back* to Kuwait, which country from?

I want to go home in the Philippines because I miss my family and I have one son I’m very love her.

this bloody app or site does not work and who made it should try it himself than putting the users into dilemma and confusion…. no wonder how things work ??? …. no quality control no follow ups! just giving information that does not work…. shame
