Sneak Peek: New Kuwait Government Website

egov

The Kuwait Government Online website is getting a facelift and you can get a preview of it right now. The redesigned website looks a lot cleaner and up to date than the current version as well as being easier to navigate. The new website is still in beta form so not everything is working yet but you can get a sneak peek at it by clicking [Here]

Looks surprisingly good and user friendly compared to other government websites. https://www.paci.gov.kw was good example too until latest redesign 🙁 have no idea who approved this changes on PACI, but newer website looks like garbage compared to old one :/

Some feedback if whoever is developing the site is reading: clicking on the labour law link under the business section takes you to this unbearable PDF of scanned photocopies: https://beta.e.gov.kw/sites/kgoenglish/Forms/KuwaitLaborLaw.pdf#

That is honestly unhelpful.

One, it shouldn’t be a pdf, because it is impossible to copy/paste or Ctrl-F to find a specific section in a scanned PDF (and sometimes even a pain to copy paste in a regular converted word document PDF; e.g. the links to the other laws on the website).

Two, if you are going to upload a PDF, do I need to crane my head to the right to read it, or hold my laptop/monitor sideways? At least get the orientation right, and not use scanned photocopies that don’t help at all.

That said, a much cleaner, more user friendly website than before.

Might be something similar to what they`ve done in Abu Dhabi. Residents can suggest improvements.
if this bugs you, how about the: How To Hacking my Password, in the Awareness section? :))
