Soul II Soul, Bells and Swan Lake Music Stores

Does anyone know who used to own the following music stores in Salmiya:

Swan Lake (bought my first tape from there)
Bells (bought my first CD from there)
Soul II Soul (bought my first record from there)

If you do please connect me with them since I’d like to write about them.

If anyone remembers there was that one walking tunnel (where the signal that goes to qatar street and gulf road, to and from marina mall) and right after it on the right there was a music shop that sold mostly hiphop tapes and cds? was a staple in my high school years sirca 98-2000

It was called Subway, never went to it but that area was all shisha places back in 95 and 96 so me and my friends used to hang out there. Actually have a photo somewhere on my Facebook page taken there

spent a chunk of my teenage years around there and albahar alabyath shisha place (which still exists opposite to Al Thuraya). whole place was packed with music stores where the wig shops now.

what a snitch, and for The Chronic!! if that album taught me anything its the code of the streets……snitches get stitches…. if you’re still holding the grudge i can find out their names lol

not many people know but there was a room upstairs where you could barely stand! we would go pre-game there before going out to the infamous house parties of Salwa 😀

I still have my big collections of cassette cds and vinyl records from soul II soul recording -jazz recording-subway recording -top star recording -white house recording -best record recording and so many of them and most of the owners or rcording centers my friends i still miss my old days and my friends
You can check my instagram othmank7

Jazz recording was behund subway recording and beside 2nd branch of soul II soul recording in same billding and also there was world of music in same street 🙂

Wasn’t the second branch of Soul ii Soul in the city behind Opera? I don’t remember it behind Subway but maybe that was in the late 90s after I left to uni. Did Jazz have a different location?
