Pictures of an Abandoned Entertainment City

Architectural photographer Abdulraouf Murad visited the abandoned Entertainment City and captured some pretty cool photos including the one above showing nature taking over the park. The park has been closed since 2016 but I was there a couple of weeks back and there was construction working taking place in the parking area so maybe the renovation project is back on track.

Check out more photos of the park on his account here, here and here.

Love it! I hope if it reopens they still have that spinning tortilla ride, I can’t remember the name, but it would spin and start tilting. They would play awesome music and always some little kid would get brave and move out from the side wall of it and dance.

Those pictures bought back a lot of nostalgia. Took me back to my school picnic’s, which were some of the best times I had growing up in Kuwait. Thank you, Abdulraouf, for the pictures and that interesting bit about the bees and farming which I’m sure people, including me, had no idea about. Also Mark for sharing this.

Entertainment City went through many sad moments. After the 1990’s invasion it wasn’t really the same anymore even though it was rebuild many attractions and games weren’t like they were represented originally.

I hope when it gets rebuild they keep some of the most nostalgic parts of it.
