If you’re wondering if Aramex or other companies are still delivering packages during this pandemic, they are! Even though commercial flights in and out of Kuwait have stopped, cargo flights are still operating. And even though places like New York have been hit hard because of the virus, it doesn’t seem to be slowing down or stopping our packages from being shipped to us. So far I’ve had packages ship from the US, the UK, and Germany. Packages are taking around 10 days from arriving at my Shop & Ship mailbox to being delivered to me at my home which is normal.
For example, yesterday I had my Odroid Go Advance delivered to me (pictured above). A reader had told me about it in the comments under one of my posts on March 14th. On March 15th I ordered the device and on March 19th it arrived to my New York mailbox. Yesterday (March 30th) it was delivered to me. So 9 days from arriving to my mailbox in New York to being delivered to me here in Kuwait. Customs in Kuwait are also working normally which is pretty impressive. There is something very comforting knowing I can continue to buy stuff online and have them arrive to Kuwait.

And yet Posta Plus can’t get me something from Dubai in about 9 days now.
PostaPlus have recently started ‘auto consolidation’ for ALL incoming shipments. You have to log in and close consolidation to initiate the forwarding and delivery process. Learnt it the hard way when I realized it was over a week for my package and it was still ‘in transit’.
Thanks, but this is actually a purchase from Adidas, I wouldn’t have chosen them, but Adidas doesn’t give you a choice. I normally use MYUS and fluctuate between FedEx and DHL. I released a shipment from MYUS using FedEx and received it in 4 days from Florida. My shoes from Adidas have not had a tracking update since Dubai in 10, and was told I would receive a call back from their operations team. That was 2 days ago.
Just want to highlight, shoes aren’t really a priority right now, so I can wait, but if someone was looking for something urgent, I don’t think Posta Plus is prepared/handling well the sh*t storm going on atm. FedEx/DHL have always been my go to’s, and they’be been working well, especially with my corporate account with FedEx.
Questions about the Odroid Go Advance:
1. Will you paint the translucent plastic?
2. After assembly, are the buttons wobbly?

1- I think I might if the Tamiya store is around since I used to buy my paints for plastics from them. But what I would do is order another case and then take my time painting it the way I want
2- The buttons aren’t wobbly but the lower buttons under the screen (the 6 side by side) are soft rubber and don’t have a solid click to them, they feel vague because they’re soft
Now in my case I ran into two issues. Firstly installing the screen wasn’t difficult at all, I was worried I would crack it trying to put it in or get dust under the glass but neither of those happened. Screen install went perfect (I followed hard kernals updated build video).
I did run into two issues though which are:
1- my left shoulder button had fallen off during transport. this is a common issue with the first release and supposedly the soldering will be improved with the next batch. I tried using crazy glue and didn’t work, hopefully didn’t fuck it up because once lock down is over I’ll take it to iPhone doctor in hawalli and have him solder it for me.
2- after putting all of it together there are 4 long screws u use to tighten the case with. 1 of the screws I over tightened and you would think that would strip the hole or break the plastic but instead, my screw broke in half and the other half is now stuck in the hole.
This is why I am contemplating ordering a new case. Or maybe just order a new device since it’s 55$ and give my current one to my brother (case and buttons is like 15$, new motherboard in case I can’t get my left button fixed is 30ish which is basically price of a new unit)
Oh the reason I’m thinking of painting the case, there is a lot of light bleed from the back of the screen on the left side. Hasn’t annoyed me but would be better without it. You can see it in this short video I just uploaded https://youtu.be/Xlfu1m6nfPg
I ordered some supplements on they shipped 8th march on ARAMEX. Still haven’t arrived. Terrible service as usual by ARAMEX. DHL & UPS are amazing, specially for Amazon deliveries.
Aramex has been absolutely 💩 the whole of March. We understand what’s happening around the world but then we get notifications of delivery on a morning requesting for location. Then nothing that day. Customer service then says tomorrow for sure. Why not be transparent entirely rather than this lame excuse – tomorrow for sure.
This has been repeating for the last 10 days (since the item is in Kuwait!!)

It depends on whether or not the package can be cleared instantly through customs or it has to go to a ministry for proper clearance.
I have two packages one is being delivered to me tomorrow and another has been stuck in government regulator clearance for 1.5 weeks.
Anyone have recommendations for where I can get plastic model kits of ships and fighter jets here. Preferably having delivery, don’t mind picking it up too though.

I went there two weeks before the curfew. the store is closed indefinitly, I asked nearby shops they told my that the owner unfortunately passed away last year and no one from his family want to keep the business going.
you can find model paints at Bousaleh hobbies in Muthana complex. It is closed right now but you can reach them on instagram for delivery. there are also two ore three other hobby shops in Dajeej (Ali Abudlwahab complex). they have model sets and parts but not sure if the have paints
Yeah it was very sad about the owner. He actually bought MyToy from the previous owner because he was a fan of the shop as a kid growing up.
Niiiice – it arrived. I have my android box, controller and memory card (for my home retro setup) arrive in my shop and ship in London today although they have taken 24 hours to update (they actually arrived yesterday). So hoping for them in ten days time then….
My retroid pocket is still pending shipping to my Chinese box so not sure how long that will take. Have a CD going to my Japanese box as we speak too so glad to know I will see them all sooner rather than later.

Amazon and eBay still in business as usual. The difference is the shipping time. They’re prioritizing for essential items. Usually takes 2 days for Prime free shipping but now takes 4-5 days. Plus, the warehouse workers here in NYC are on strike.
What is the situation as of now?

I got two orders:
Myus package from Florida to kuwait eta 2 days to arrive, as of right now it landed in Dubai (no delays).
second order from Paris gonna be send after couple of weeks (due to customization no delays).
as for cargo shipping: when the airport got closed they specified only commercial and local planes for civilians, but cargo are on-going there is no new law stopping them.
as for amazon and Ebay:
amazon prime is 2 days free shipping i received 6 items I purchased to Myus pithing 2 days.
Ebay it depends on seller I bought item which was to arrive 1st of April but seller send a message that it would be late due to the chaos.
What about postal service? Is it open, as I have a lot of cargo coming in.
PostaPlus service is very slow during this time. My package was forwarded from the US on the 8th and it is still in “Transit”! They are not even certain when it will arrive. Should’ve gone with A different courier service instead.
