Milsim Kuwait – Operation Eagle Eye

milsim

I’ve posted about Milsim a few times over the years but in case you missed my previous posts, Milsim is a military simulation game where players use airsoft weapons. Unlike paintball you don’t fire off a million shots and hope they hit your target. Milsim instead involves a lot more strategy and ammunition needs to be conserved similar to real life scenarios. It’s very realistic.

Anyway the video above popped on my Facebook feed and I hadn’t seen it before and thought it looked great. The situations look very realistic and the location just incredible (I think it’s somewhere on Failaka Island). That YouTube account also has other Milsim videos which you can check out [Here]

Firing off a million shots and hope they hit your target isn’t accurate Mark. Both are good sports and can be enjoyed equally. Paintball involves strategy as well. Also it depends on the type of paintball you are playing. Speedball, Woodsball or Scenario. Scenario is the same thing as Milsim but using paint instead of BBs. I’ve played both and love both. It is like comparing Playstation to Xbox…

I’ve seen a couple of my buddies on facebook post photos of them Milsiming. Looks intriguing… aside from the pain factor. I mean I tried paintball about 4 years ago and the pain after getting hit was excrutiating meanwhile everyone else had these big goofy smiles plastered all over their faces while they were getting hit like it’s no big deal, yeah… no bueno.

Airsoft you say? Hmm….

I’ve always thought that of people playing military games to be akin to impotent guys watching porn.

Aren’t they the ones that vandalized the old UAS campus? It was pretty sad seeing them use my old school as their field.
