I’ve recently gotten addicted to the TV show Rules of Engagement. They are in their second season now but I never thought it would be interesting, for some reason I used to read the name and think it was a TV show related to lawyers and the military. Probably because I keep thinking about the movie of the same name. Luckily by accident I downloaded and episode and after watching the first one I was hooked. The show stars three great actors, Megyn Price who plays the wife on Grounded for Life, David Spade which everyone knows from Just Shoot Me and finally my favorite actor from the bunch, Patrick Warburton who played David Puddy, Elaine’s boy friend on Seinfeld, Johnny Johnson on News Radio, The Tick on The Tick and the voice of Joe Swanson on Family Guy. A truly amazing actor and super funny in his own simple way. For more information you can check out the IMDB page. [Link]

Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares
I just found out tomorrow night the US version of Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares is going to premier in the States. In the show Ramsay Gordon visits a failing restaurant and he has one week to help the owners turn it around. Every episode is a new restaurant which makes the show really entertaining. The UK version was one of my favorite shows so I can’t wait to watch this. [Link]
Police Squad!
I was checking out an old commercial for Red Rock Cider that starred Leslie Nielsen and it reminded me a lot of the Naked Gun series. I actually thought that the commercial was based on the movie but it turned out it was based on a TV show called Police Squad! Naked Gun was based on that show and for some reason I just found out about it now. I am a huge fan of Naked Gun so these episodes of Police Squad! are like a godsend. I downloaded all the episodes, 6 in total which means I am going to go through them really fast. They’re great though and full of non stop humor.

Carnivàle
I just finished watching two seasons of the TV show Carnivàle and it turned out to be really weird.. but in a good way. I love HBO they have the coolest shows. I started watching this show not knowing what to expect, all I knew was that it was based in the early 1930’s during the great depression and follows a traveling carnival. The show turned out to be a lot more then that and features some of the strangest characters you are bound to see in a show. I heard that the show is currently playing on Orbit but if you haven’t watched it from the first episode I would get it on DVD instead. Not one of my top 5 favorite shows ever but easily fits into my top 10. [Link]
I loved the show The Wonder Years so I found this link on Digg very interesting. The most interesting part though is that I never knew Juliett Lewis, David Schwimmer, Giovanni Ribisi, and Dustin Diamond were on the show. I need to rewatch it all again. [Link]

Extras
The funniest show I am watching at the moment is called Extras. The show stars Ricky Gervais from The Office and Ashley Jensen from Ugly Betty who both play the role of extras on the show. Extras are the people who play very minor roles in movies or commercials usually with no speaking lines and located in the background. One of the cool things about the show is that each episode features a famous star; Ben Stiller, Kate Winslet, Samuel L. Jackson, Patrick Stewert, Orlando Bloom and David Bowie for example have all appeared on the show.
Extras is a typical British comedy so the style might not appeal to everyone but I personally find it hilarious. Its a really silly show and I couldn’t imagine anyone else other then Gervais playing the lead role except for maybe Simon Pegg. You can find out more about the show by checking out the Extras page on HBO’s website. [Link]
Danger Mouse
I downloaded season 1 of the 80’s cartoon, Danger Mouse a few days ago and yesterday I watched a few episodes and it rocks! I used to love it when I was a kid (I think on Saudi channel 2) but even watching it now the show is still really good. His sidekick Penfold is probably the dorkiest of all sidekicks ever but he’s also the funniest. The James Bond franchise should seriously take a look at Danger Mouse and learn a thing or two. You can watch the intro to the cartoon on youtube by clicking [Here]
Kwik-E-Mart.. for real!
As part of a promotion for the upcoming Simpsons movie, 7-Eleven turned a dozen of its stores into Kwik-E-Marts. They will also be selling items which had previously only been seen on the TV show like Squishees and Krusty cereals. There is a whole flickr photoset of one of the branches which you can check out by clicking [Here].
Over 80 intros to cartoons from the 80’s including Gummi Bears, My Little Pony, Rainbow Brite, Snorks, Bionic Six (my fav), Care Bears and more. [Link]
