Some spectacular footage of Kuwait in this video with my favorites being the first wide shot of Hamra Tower (pictured below) as well as the marshes. Doesn’t look like Kuwait. [Vimeo]

I love this, it looks like something out of Blade Runner. They should definitely consider keeping these lights on the towers permanently. [YouTube]

“The 32 Balloon Journey #NewYorkLovesKuwait” is a collaborative project by three Kuwaiti New Yorkers, Alyamamah Al Awadhi, Mohammad Al Mashaan, and Razan Al Sarraf. In the video they glide through the city of New York, celebrating the National and Liberation holidays in Kuwait. [YouTube]

The music video above is dedicated to the people of Kuwait from the expats of Kuwait (the remaining expats who still haven’t been deported). The video features a bunch of talented expats including a few I know like Monstariam and Basil Al Hadi. Check it out above. [YouTube]

Someone should have an intervention with Gulf Bank before they release a Harlem Shake video next. Flash mobs are so 2009. [YouTube]

If you missed the air show on Friday you didn’t really miss much from what I heard. But, if you wish you had watched the air show you can do so online since someone uploaded a video of it. Not very exciting. [YouTube]

If you missed the Cinderella Pantomime by Staged in Kuwait last week they’ve now uploaded the full video of the show online. Here is the video description:
SIK bring a brand new Cinderella script to the stage for their third pantomime, weaving some fun new characters into the age old tale in a story aimed to entertain the whole family. Sadly the video of this production was shot at the last performance against the backdrop of an extremely noisy audience who did not know how to behave in a theatre. One of the many problems we have yet to overcome in Kuwait.

If you missed the first Jam session this past Friday at CAP you can now watch most of the performances online since TJC Films just uploaded 43 minutes of non stop music. I missed the event but from the feedback I heard it’s definitely one not to miss the next time it takes place. [YouTube]

Looks like another big fight has taken place at the Avenues except this time it looks like the security guards kicked major ass. The video above is a top view of the incident but you can check out the fight from other angles at the following links:

A short video has been circulating showing a police officer abusing a detainee at what looks to be a police station. The police officer is forcing the detainee to perform pushups before hitting him on his back and then kicking his stomach.
This isn’t the first time a video has popped up showing a cop abusing a detainee but it does come soon after the recent video of the cop insulting an expat woman on camera so the cop behind this might be made an example of. [YouTube]

I didn’t think the police were allowed to film civilians and I was also told we weren’t allowed to film the police. In this specific video the cop supposedly utters an obscenity as well according to the uploader. I say supposedly because the obscenity is censored so you can’t make out what the cop says. [YouTube]
