This isn’t a rumor, but rather an interesting observation from one of my readers. Tesla recently updated their careers page to include Kuwait as a location. According to the reader who regularly checks the Tesla careers page to see which new countries get added, Saudi Arabia appeared on the list around this time last year, and Tesla opened its first dealership there just this past month.
Now they’ve added Kuwait, so it could mean we’ll see a Tesla dealership opening here around this time next year.
To double-check his info, I used web.archive.org to pull up a snapshot of the careers page from two weeks ago. He was right, Kuwait wasn’t listed then which confirms it was just recently added.
Although Tesla is currently going through a rough patch in the US and Europe, the brand remains popular in our region, most likely because it’s always been desirable, yet unavailable here.
If you want to check the above yourself, head to tesla.com/careers/search
update: I’m being told this is actually happening, Tesla will be opening their first store in Kuwait by first quarter of 2026. They will be sharing details after August. This is going to be a direct investment by Tesla and the Kuwait government, so I’m assuming through KDIPA.

Who needs Tesla, we want Amazon.
Who the hell wants a “Roman Saluter” like Elon Musk doing business in this region? The guy is a lolcow at this point 😒
Man haters gonna hate even in Kuwait LMAO
Tesla can only truly be successful if they set up their hypercharging network. If they build that then we can see. Otherwise it’s just a luxury electric car
We have free charging spots all over the gulf road and in all the malls, so their network wouldn’t be as important to us here
Tesla owner here.
Free charging stations are everywhere, you’d be fine even if you don’t have a charger at home. No major distances here that would need charging stations either.
You can drive to the border and back without a charge.
elon isn’t gonna let you “get intimate” with him bro
Are Xiaomi cars released in Kuwait?
Too little too late get a BYD instead
I saw this car last week on the road, It looks like Spacecraft 🙂
You could literally buy any other car and you’d be getting a better build quality and reliability. BYD, Volvo, Hyundai, Kia, Toyota, Citroen, Peugoet and the list goes on. All of them have Android Auto and Apple Car Play and next-gen LIDAR and safety features. Sorry to be conversative but only a blind brand focused influencer would in 2025 focus on a Tesla. (there I said it)

Nah you’re buying the software before the car. Tesla is light years ahead with its tech
Why would you buy an electric car if you live the gulf region?
On top of that, if you’re the sort of person who looks at a Tesla and go “I think this is a great investment” then you NEED to go see a professional ASAP.
P.S. #BoycottElon
As a EV driver in Kuwait, I’m excited to have Tesla here to increase EV adoption. Similar to what Tesla achieved in the UAE.
We need DC chargers in Kuwait as not everyone has access to residential charging. AC chargers are widely available but can only add around 100 kms of range per hour.
