Smartwrap

Smartwrap

Smartwrap is a small rubber stereo earphone cord manager. Basically what this means is if you have a headphone with a really long cord, the Smartwrap solves that issue for you by making it shorter.

When the Smartwraps first came out ages ago I wanted one but the only website that sold them only accepted PayPal which wouldn’t work with my Kuwaiti visa card. I then forgot about it until yesterday when I noticed someone at work had gotten one. His sister had ordered a couple and he ended up giving me a black one.

This thing rocks, its such a small simple thing but its won a couple of design awards and its just extremely practical. As you can see in the picture above I have wrapped my headphone around the Smartwrap, its annoying to have excess cable when I am working at my desk and its a lot neater now.

Anyway I just checked Amazon and they are selling the Smartwraps in packs of 3’s for like $11 so you can head over and get one incase you are interested.
[Buy from Amazon.com]

Update:
I really love the Smartwrap!! I just uploaded a super hi-res picture of it, check it out. [Picture]

Jazeera Airways now even cheaper!

Jazeera Airways

Book to any Jazeera Airways destination and get the following prices:

Book on April 2nd and pay KD 2 (USD 7) one-way
Book on April 3rd and pay KD 3 (USD 10) one-way
Book on April 4th and pay KD 4 (USD 14) one-way
Book on April 5th and pay KD 5 (USD 17) one-way

These very low fares are for flights between April 23 and May 23 and are only for bookings made through jazeeraairways.com and travel agents.

Update: More info on this offer is available [here]
I just bought a two way ticket to Lebanon for Nat and the total came out to KD26 after taxes. Someone else in the office tried to get a ticket for the same day but their total came out KD62. The prices are going up quickly as more and more seats are being filled so hurry up.

Update 2: In case I wasn’t clear I meant to say that tickets on certain dates are getting more expensive because a lot of people are choosing the same day (ie weekends for example). You can find KD2 tickets but it most probably will be during the weekday.

Lost S2E17

For those of you who watched the last episode of Lost (S2E17) click the link. If you haven’t watched the episode yet then don’t click it, its a spoiler. [Link]

Also my best guess is don’t read any of the comments below if any since they most probably will also contain spoilers.

Your April Fool’s Joke Sucks

A list of things which do not actually constitue a valid April Fools’ Day joke taken from Anil Dash:

“I changed my stylesheet! To someone else’s!” Why isn’t that funny? Because I still knew it was your site.

“Our tiny company bought/got bought by a giant company. Like Microsoft!” Wow, that’s lame. Neither believable nor surprising enough to be amusing.

“We are embracing this thing we’ve demonized forever!” So you’re a pest removal service that’s getting into the cockroach-raising business? Sigh.

“We have a big announcement today!” No you don’t. It’s Saturday.

“Our new product does the impossible.” You mean like making an April Fool’s joke on the web that’s actually funny.

I was actually planning on changing my stylesheet to something funnier before I read this list. Nibaq already pulled the second one today.

Piracy destroying friendships

I passed by my favorite videogame store in Rihab Complex yesterday. I wanted to get Sonic Rush for my Nintendo DS and also check out the new DS Lite while I was at it. So I went into the store and shook hands with the owner and he asks me why I haven’t been passing by. I was honest and I told him that I am just downloading games right off the web. He was like yeah thats the best thing to do, but I got the feeling he wasn’t very pleased. Ok so this post isn’t as dramatic as the the title made it out to be…
