In 1988 a Kuwait Airways Boeing was hijacked and diverted to Algiers while on its way to Kuwait from Bangkok. The hijacking lasted 16 days and ended with a Naval Officer from the Kuwaiti Royal Family being killed along with another Kuwaiti military person. The Algerian authorities allowed the hijackers to escape in exchange for the remainder of the 110 people aboard to be set free. (Wikipedia)

Yesterday I dropped my car at the BMW dealer because some parts I had ordered arrived. While there I spotted a really cool looking car that looked like an old Lotus. Turned out it was a BMW M1. The car was made between 1978-1981 and it looked like it was in excellent condition. At that moment I was like I need to have that car. Of course I didn’t know how much a vintage car like that cost. I just checked online and the cheapest one I found was for $91,000. What a cool car though.

Ok I swear this is my last YouTube post for today but I really couldn’t resist posting this. Remember the cheesy music video for the song “Everything OK” which I posted awhile back? Well here is another version! According to the comments the guys were in the studio recording another song when they started singing Everything OK. It seems the song was sung every now and then by different people just for fun of it. [YouTube ]

While flipping through some videos of Kuwait on YouTube I found a couple for the old popular kids show Iftah Ya Simsim. I found three different intros though but I even remember a different one so I am guessing they were a whole bunch of different ones. Another cool thing with these videos is you get to see the different vintage KTV television idents. Check out the three intros I found below.

I just found out some disappointing news. After all these years of drinking Like Cola thinking I was supporting a local product, I just found out that Like was actually introduced by 7up. Oh well at least we still have Shani to be proud of.
