My contact at Alghanim Automotive sent me the following email to publish on the blog:

Hey, some news for you and your audience. The new Lumina’s and all new Caprice’s are in Kuwait!! You know how popular with Kuwaitis these cars are. They will be launched in the next couple of weeks all over Kuwait. Not only that, there is a new Epica and the new SUV that just came out, the Captiva. The Captiva will arrive end of December and is a very sexy SUV. I tried the new Lumina and OMG… it’s a freakin’ monster under the hood. The buttons, dials, and inside trim quality is so far above what you’re used. Honestly, it’s German level stuff (and im not talking VW) inside and outside. The time of big, ugly, floaty, gas guzzling American cars is way over. We’re planning to take on Audi A6 with the Caprice.

A friend sent me this video of some guys doing some really messed up stunts with their Land Cruisers. The craziest stunt is probably the first one in the video where a kid hangs out of a car window upside down on the highway and has his hair touch the road. It looks like all of this was done in Saudi. Right click and Save-As the video. [AVI 3.9MB]

I have seen a ton of these videos of guys drifting in the desert using Camry’s and Altima’s but this is the first time I see it done with a new 7-series BMW. [Video]

I first passed by Auto Bullz around a month ago when they first opened and I was pretty impressed. Tonight I passed by for the second time and took a more careful look at the place and it really isn’t as good as I thought it was the first time I went there. Its mostly filled with cheap knockoffs which really sucks. Instead of the pimped out H2 they had on display the last time they now have an MV Augusta motorbike which I personally think is cooler. But really the place is too big, over staffed and just feels cheap.

I was at Marina Mall yesterday meeting up with a friend when I noticed Alghanim Automotive (my sponsors) had the Escalade EXT on display right outside Virgin. The EXT was my favorite version of the old Escalade and I didn’t know the new one was out yet in Kuwait. So I emailed my contact at Alghanim and asked him about the price and this is what I found out. The Escalade EXT costs KD18,500 and if you trade in your car you get 500KD back. Also the regular Escalade (ie: not pickup) which I previously took out for a drive now costs KD19,500 and according to my contact the price is negotiable. Thats around KD1,500 cheaper then when I reviewed it which is pretty cool but still way out of my league.

I was flipping through Al Hadaf which is like Al Waseet and decided to find out how much certain cars cost to rent. Turns out you can rent a Mustang Saleen for KD60 a day. [Link]

You can also rent a Lamborghini Gallardo for KD400 a day but from a different place, call 6977266 if you are interested.

You can rent a Porsche Carrera 4S for KD145 a day while a Caymann will set you back KD125. Also from a different place and you can contact them on 5649100

Yesterday night on my way to the airport I saw an accident on the 5th ring road just before exit 50. The accident was still fresh since the medics were still at the scene. Turns out a bus carrying works some how rammed into the back of a truck so it was pretty messed scene with a lot of injuries. Here are two pictures I managed to take as I was passing by.

I was checking the forum today and found cool pictures posted by Mocman of a pimped out Honda Accord in Saudi Arabia. It looks like it could easily fit into the upcoming Transformers movie. [Link]

On my way back from dinner yesterday around 10:30PM I noticed a new store had opened just before Marina Mall opposite Eastpak. The store located under the Ponderosa restaurant is called Bullz Auto or something like that. According to a friend of mine it opened up on Thursday.

I took a quick stroll through the store and they basically sell stuff for pimping your car. They had a ton of rims, front and rear car lights, sound systems and a ton of small accessories. Downstairs was closed but it looked like they had clothing, could be biking gear or something.

I only had my phone cam with me so the pictures are crappy. Outside they had a pimped out Corvette and Avalanche while on the inside they had a pimped out H2 with 28-inch rims. I will pass by another day and hopefully take better pics and check out what gear they have downstairs.
