From last nights episode. [YouTube]

The funniest show I am watching at the moment is called Extras. The show stars Ricky Gervais from The Office and Ashley Jensen from Ugly Betty who both play the role of extras on the show. Extras are the people who play very minor roles in movies or commercials usually with no speaking lines and located in the background. One of the cool things about the show is that each episode features a famous star; Ben Stiller, Kate Winslet, Samuel L. Jackson, Patrick Stewert, Orlando Bloom and David Bowie for example have all appeared on the show.

Extras is a typical British comedy so the style might not appeal to everyone but I personally find it hilarious. Its a really silly show and I couldn’t imagine anyone else other then Gervais playing the lead role except for maybe Simon Pegg. I downloaded season 1 of the 80’s cartoon, Danger Mouse a few days ago and yesterday I watched a few episodes and it rocks! I used to love it when I was a kid (I think on Saudi channel 2) but even watching it now the show is still really good. His sidekick Penfold is probably the dorkiest of all sidekicks ever but he’s also the funniest. The James Bond franchise should seriously take a look at Danger Mouse and learn a thing or two. As part of a promotion for the upcoming Simpsons movie, 7-Eleven turned a dozen of its stores into Kwik-E-Marts. They will also be selling items which had previously only been seen on the TV show like Squishees and Krusty cereals. One of my favorite shows has ended and although the last episode wasn’t as dramatic as the Six Feet Under finale, it was still great. The last episode had a lot of memorable songs including the final one at the diner which I can’t seem to get out of my head. While flipping through some videos of Kuwait on YouTube I found a couple for the old popular kids show Iftah Ya Simsim. I found three different intros though but I even remember a different one so I am guessing they were a whole bunch of different ones. Another cool thing with these videos is you get to see the different vintage KTV television idents. Check out the three intros I found below.

Between yesterday and today I managed to watch 16 episodes of the comedy Studio 60. Its currently one of my favorite shows and I don’t think I would have ever guessed that I would ever like Matthew Perry since I found him annoying on the show Friends but, surprisingly I do. Matthew Perry stars in Studio 60 which is a show based around a fictional sketch-comedy show and Matthew Perry is one of the executive producers of this fictional show. Imagine if they made a show on behind the scenes of Saturday Night Live, it would turn out something like Studio 60.

There are a lot of characters, numerous stories, lots of comedy and just a small touch of on set romance. I read somewhere that the show was getting canceled which is typical because a lot of good shows get canceled (Arrested Development). If you are looking for a new show to download and watch then I would like to recommend Studio 60.

I prefer American Dad over Family Guy anyway…
