Today I took Geo to the Dog Beach. Its a beach where every Friday morning dog owners take their dogs there to interact with each other and play. They usually get there around 8:30 in the morning but since I stayed up late last night I woke up around 9:30 today. We got to the beach around 10 and everyone had left except for one dog and his owners. Geo played with the dog a bit and then we went down to the water. We have taken Geo to the beach before but he never goes into the water but today he walked all the way in until he was nearly fully submerged. He still doesn’t know how to swim so he spends most of his time jumping around in the water. He’s completely exhausted now so he is sleeping. The picture above was taken by Nat today at the beach.

I just got an SMS telling me that from now on the SMS tariff will be 50 fils per message. How much was it before? I am on MTC btw..

While leaving home today to come in to work I saw a 2007 yellow Toyota FJ Cruiser parked at one of the second hand car dealers in Salmiya (next to Mr Baker, near Kababji and Shaab Park). I thought these cars were coming out in 2007…

Two weeks ago I posted pictures of a “fucked up crash” that happened on the Gulf Road. Well my pictures were taken after the road had been cleared and the cars put aside. Today while browsing the Q8speed website I found a picture which was taken very soon after the crash happened. Might be too graphic for some people. [Link]

I knew they were going to be expensive but I didn’t know they were going to be THAT expensive. I am not even talking about the $21,000 ticket for a skybox seat in the final game I am talking about ticket prices to regular games for example the cheapest ticket to the Argentine Vs Netherland game is like $1,400! I have been using Moleskines ever since I first saw one with Nibaq. I usually buy the plain pocket sized notebook and its actually the only version I have ever bought since I never needed anything else until I saw the Moleskine City notebook. The Moleskine City notebook is made for travelling and they come in various city editions. I want the Montreal and New York editions but they don’t come out till 2007 so for now I am probably going to order the Amsterdam one. I think these notebooks would be cooler if shared amongst friends. So I could travel to Amsterdam, mark my notes down and then pass the notebook to my friend when he travels to Amsterdam. That way he could get some tips from me and then fill in his own notes. It could be really useful. [Link]

Today Geo learned a new trick.. a trick I would rather he hadn’t learned. Geo today figured out how to open the doors around the house. The whole house is dog safe (ie nothing for Geo to grab a hold of and chew) except for the art room where I have all my magazines and tons of other stuff lying around unprotected on the shelves. Now that he knows how to open the door I need to start locking it from the outside. Hopefully he won’t figure out how to pick locks anytime soon. I think this weekend I am going to shoot a video of Geo doing some tricks, he has gotten really good at them.

Here is a full list of how all the TV shows ranked this season. I have no fucking clue how LOST is in 14th place while 24 is in 23rd place and Prison Break in 55th. Season 2 of lost was the most boring show on television filled with nothing that made season 1 (and early season 2) exciting to watch. Sure they fixed it with the season finale but thats too little too late. [Link]

It looks like today is going to be about TV shows. When you look for one thing you end up finding other things. This article I am linking to is written by Dr. Marc Siegel who is an internist and an associate professor of medicine at New York University’s School of Medicine. He talks about Greys Anatomy last episodes of season 2 and how accurate the events that occured on the show would be compared to real life. Most of this seasons TV shows have ended already and some (like Sopranos) are going to end in the upcoming week. I was curious to know when the new season would start again and I ended up finding this website that lists the new season premier date and time of a whole bunch of shows. I just found out the new season of Weeds is going to start in July which is really cool, some comedy to keep me occupied this summer while I try to catch up on 11 9 seasons of X-Files. [Link]
