This is a cool little store that’s located on M1 in Salhiya Complex. It’s the outlet shop for all the Tanagra brands like Tumi, Orla Kiely, Lacoste and more. The problem is the majority of the time the items available aren’t that great but every now and then you might find something that’s a steal.

Eureka have an offer just for today where you can get the iPhone 4s for just KD219. Eureka usually has a habit of running out of stock 2 minutes after opening so I don’t usually post about their offers except this time they’ve mentioned “unlimited quantity”. [Link]

Diesel at Marina Mall is closing down since they’re opening up at 360 Mall so they’ve got a major sale going right now. They’ve got 70% off on some jeans and they also have a large collection of jeans for just KD10. The store is pretty empty right now and they only have women’s jeans left so if you’re interested hurry up.

I finally got to pass by Payless over the weekend. Payless is the X-Cite Electronics outlet and they’ve been open for a couple of years now (I think) but never really had a reason to pass by until now. I was looking for some Alpine components for my car sound system and I was told I would find some models at Payless. I didn’t end up finding what I was looking for but I still found the place interesting. They had a lot of random stuff all over this large warehouse and some looked like great deals while others didn’t seem discounted at all. They had a lot of laptops, phone accessories and I even spotted a bunch of Sonos devices. They’re located in Shuwaikh near the main Alghanim head quarters opposite City Center. It should be easy to spot since the warehouse has a large yellow sign on top.

Since we’re on the subject of good deals I managed to get my hands on an Alpine PDX-4.150 car stereo amp for just KD21! The retail price for this Amp was $399 in the US before it was discontinued and that’s without tax or shipping cost to Kuwait so KD21 is ridiculously cheap. For some reason X-Cite is getting rid of all their Alpine stock so you can find some really good deals.

If you’re interested in the PDX-4.150 I took a snapshot from their point of sale system showing all the available locations where they might still have them. I passed by the Hawalli and Marina branch but they both didn’t have them even though the computer says they did so I marked them both out. The Rai branch is where I got mine (it was the last piece) and the Baitak Tower branch has one on display but missing some accessories. That leaves 3 other branches which I didn’t pass by but they should have a piece each left so good luck finding one.

If you’re looking for a bike you might want to pass by the Salmiya branch of Extreme Sports since they currently have 25% off on their 2011 model year bikes (while stocks last). My brother purchased an entry level Trek (2011 3700 model) yesterday for just KD123. Their Tilal branch also has discounts but I think they have 10% off instead of 25. Blink has a one day deal on iPad 2 smart covers, they’re selling them for KD8.9 which is the cheapest I’ve seen in Kuwait so far. [Link]

There are two promotions I know about that basically involve you not doing anything different from your usual routine and yet get entered in a draw to win a prize. One promotion is for Alfa the other is for NBK.

Alfa Gas Stations
Friday I passed by the Alfa gas station on the Gulf Road to fill up and noticed they had mascots, clowns and loud music playing. I thought it was EXTREMELY annoying since all I wanted to do was drive in, fill up gas and leave but instead I was greeted with a long queue of cars stopping to find out what all the commotion was about and parents with kids stopping so they could see the clowns. Some guy approached me to give me a flyer but since I was pissed off at the traffic they had created I didn’t even care what the promotion was about.

Yesterday on my way home from work I passed by to fill up again but this time asked about the offer and it turned out to be pretty good. Basically fill up like you regularly do and get a receipt. Every receipt has a code which you SMS to a specific number and every week you will have a chance to win a bunch of prizes including a car, iPhone and iPad’s. I’m a huge Entertainment City fan although a lot of people think it’s pretty crap. It’s not. It just need’s a bit of TLC which for some odd reason it’s not getting. Anyway this Ramadan they’re reducing the ticket price from KD3.5 per person down to just KD1. This mean’s spending a day at Entertainment City will be cheaper than visiting the Kuwait Towers. BoConcept currently have a sale going on. They actually started before I left on vacation but now they have even further discounts on some of the items. I tweeted one great deal, a couch which was originally priced at KD1,375 and is now going for KD343. Their lamps are also 75% off and I ended up getting a cool looking one. Not everything is 75% off since most items have just 50% off and other items without any discounts at all. But still you might end up finding a great deal on an item you really want.

Aïshti and Aïzone at the Avenues have a 30% sale. It started yesterday and from what I can tell everything is on sale except for one tiny section of new arrivals.

There is a shop next to my office that has a discount on everything including Maglite flashlights. They’re selling the 3-D cell version for KD6.250 which is nearly the same price as Amazon and the cheapest I’ve seen in Kuwait. The place is located right next to the NBK branch on Fahad Al Salem Street, opposite the park.

A new website just got launched that’s similar in style to Sheeel.com where every day a new product gets listed at a discounted rate. The site is called deals.com.kw and I’m guessing they saw how successful Sheeel was and decided to do something similar. Someone from the Herman Miller dealer in Kuwait left a comment under my old post on the Herman Miller Aeron chairs (picture above). When I had checked the price of the chair back in February 2008 they were selling it for KD420. Now though it seems they have an offer till the end of May and they’re selling the chair for just KD270. They’re like 3 years late since I already bought a different chair back then but if you guys are interested you can call Mr Sherif on 1834222 ext 405.
