KD5 to Beirut
In case you haven’t heard, Jazeera Airways has an amazing offer, for the next 3 days you can purchase tickets to any of their 5 destinations for a price of KD5 (one way). I calculated a 2-way ticket to Lebanon including all the taxes and the total amount came to KD32 ($109) which is like wayyyy cheaper then anything else. It’s even cheaper then taking the bus or your own car. I tried to find the offer on their website but its not there, you can only see the price when you are trying to book. My friend recently travelled with them and he was very satisfied. [Link]
Don’t they learn?
Shuwaikh is flooded because of the heavy rain today morning, at least the area behind City Center. I was there today morning in the Wrangler and the main road and all the back streets were flooded in knee deep water… and even deeper in some places. Doesn’t this happen every year? Why haven’t they fixed the drainage system there?
We Are Different
When it gets cloudy, cold and wet we love it here in Kuwait. Its been raining all day today and atleast a dozen people have come up to the window next to me, look out and say what nice weather we have today. Another example would be BusyNow, I was checking his blog and he posted a picture from the Munich airport (he went on vacation) and its like cloudy and wet outside and his comments were “Im in munich now the weather is great and i like the place.”
Family Guy on FOX
Peter: Everybody, I’ve got bad news. We’ve been cancelled.
Lois: Oh, no! Peter, how could they do that?
Peter: Well, unfortunately, Lois, there’s just no more room on the schedule. We’ve just got to accept the fact that FOX has to make room for terrific shows like Dark Angel, Titus, Undeclared, Action, That 80’s Show, Wonderfalls, Fastlane, Andy Richter Controls the Universe, Skin, Girls Club, Cracking Up, The Pitts, Firefly, Get Real, Freakylinks, Wanda At Large, Costello, The Lone Gunmen, A Minute With Stan Hooper, Normal, Ohio, Pasadena, Harsh Realm, Keen Eddie, The $treet, American Embassy, Cedric the Entertainer, The Tick, Louie, and Greg the Bunny.
Lois: Is there no hope?
Peter: Well, I suppose if all those shows go down the tubes we might have a shot.

Original iPod Reactions
I found this via del.icio.us, its a thread at MacRumors.com discussing the iPod when it was first announced back in 2001. Its cracking me up reading the comments, my favorite one so far is “I still can’t believe this! All this hype for something so ridiculous! Who cares about an MP3 player? I want something new! I want them to think differently!
Why oh why would they do this?! It’s so wrong! It’s so stupid!” [Link]
2:48AM making its rounds
My iPod Video doesn’t like phones post has been making its rounds around the web. Here is where its been mentioned so far:

Engadget
Slashphone

When I pre-ordered my iPod Video I also looked around for a case for my iPod. From the start I decided I wasn’t going to get a case where I would have to keep my iPod in it the whole time. I wanted to enjoy the sleek iPod in my hands and not via some case. I also didn’t want to get an iSkin since although it would allow me to keep the iPod scratch free it completely destroys the iPods sleek look and feel. I also had one for my original iPod and I hated it. In the end I decided I would get an iPod sleeve. The sleeve would protect my iPod while I carried it in my bag or pocket but when I wanted to use it I could take out the iPod from it. I searched around for various sleeves and in the end if settled for the foofpod.
The foofshop has a whole lot of different materials for the sleeves but in the end I decided to go with the Red Fire Engine (vibrant corduroy). Since my iPod was going to be black I figured red would look good with it and I was right, it does. I got the foof before my iPod so when my iPod arrived I quickly shoved it into the foof and it was a perfect fit. My iPod felt really safe and at home in the foof. The foof also quickly grabbed the attention of my employees at work since it really doesn’t look like your average everyday case. Overall I am very satisfied and it only cost me around $15 for something that was handmade all the way in Australia, pretty cool.

Nokia N91 beats the iPod
… in a drop test. According to this post the N91 passed the drop test 300 times while the iPod mini only survived the same test 12 times. Nokia rulez? I don’t think so. [Link]
Back in October I posted about a rumor that Jeremy Clarkson was in Kuwait. Around a week ago someone commeneted to that post saying that he was in Kuwait but just having a quick stay over before going to Iraq to do a story for an English paper. Seems thats true, I just found the article Behind Jeremy Lines where Clarkson goes to Iraq. [Link]

Tags provide an easy way for you to “remember” and classify any item on the Amazon site for later recall. For example, you might be shopping for holiday gifts and tag items with the names of the people on your shopping list. At any time, you can review the items you’ve tagged and make final gift decisions. You can add tags from the detail page for any product, and the items you’ve tagged and tags you’ve used are displayed on Your Profile. [Link]
