I can’t find it now but I remember reading in a local blog a complaint about Kuwait Cinema closing for Ramadan. Well I think I now know why, it seems they are rebranding. KNCC will become the mother company while CinemaScape (if i remember correctly) will be the new name. You might have noticed the outdoor ads recently (the do not cross yellow police line), I think they will launch the new brand once they open up the cinemas again during eid.

update: seems KNCC closed today till eid and has been open throughout ramadan.

Nibaq just told me Jeremy Clarkson is in Kuwait. Does ANYONE know ANYTHING about this?? Any info would help.

The Sony dealer in Kuwait has started selling the Sony PSP. The value pack with 1 game is selling for KD99 while a value pack with 2 games for KD113.

Two persons were injured by an explosion that rocked the offices of the Kuwaiti embassy’s information center in Beirut’s commercial thoroughfare of Hamra at mid-morning Monday. There were conflicting reports about the blast which was attributed first to a hand grenade, then to a letter bomb and then to a parcel bomb. More info when available.

Update: Turns out it was just a guy who brought a grenade with him to work and was playing with it when it went off.

Sultan got a new shipment of A&W Root Beer. I Was at Sultan Center Souk Sharq today and I noticed they had a lot of A&W Root Beer (not diet) cases and I just got a phonecall now from Sultan Centers “Just Ask” department asking me how many cases I wanted and that they would be put aside for me since I requested the product from them. Pretty cool.

Just checked out this months issue of Wallpaper* magazine and turns out Kuwait is in it. Here is the summary of Septembers issue featuring Kuwait:

I like how Wallpaper called Kuwait “hip”, puts things in a different perspective.

Someone in Kuwait has a red Ford GT with white stripes. Its rumored to be owned by someone from the Al-Wazzan family.

Someone sent me this today, its a video clip of a biker in Kuwait losing control and hitting the tarmac hard. If anyone has more info on this video please share it. [Link]

The other day I posted a link to a site where an American said a whole bunch of crap about Kuwait. I checked it today and there were over 70 90 comments left for the guy.
