Only video game fans will get this comic strip. I love Killer Instinct by the way.. even though I was never able to perform the 80+ combo moves. My dream would be to buy a Killer Instinc arcade machine and shove it in my living room. Only place in Kuwait I know of that still has the Killer Instinct arcade is Showbiz on the seaside. [Link]

New Audi TT

I just saw the first pictures of the new Audi TT and its looks pretty… normal. I remember when the original TT came out it grabbed everyones attention because it looked like nothing else. The new Audi TT on the other hand looks a lot safer and regular. [Link]
Rock Crawling in Kuwait

I was just checking out pictures taken by a regular commenter on my blog (Hudis) and I found pictures of the Kuwaiti desert but like nothing I had ever seen before. We have mountains in Kuwait? I am guessing this is the Mutlaa Ridge near the Iraqi border and it looks like an amazing place. I didn’t think the pictures were in Kuwait until I noticed a car in one of the pictures had a Kuwaiti license plate. This place looks like a cool place to rock crawl with 4×4’s. [Link]
Snow comes to deserts of Dubai

The indoor ski slopes finally opened up in Dubai and looking at the pictures on their website makes me jealous that we don’t have anything similar here in Kuwait. Entrance price is only $35 and that includes clothes and equipment rental which I think is a pretty good deal. But, the place doesn’t look “that” big so I am curious to find out if its going to be over crowded the whole time or not. [Link]
Just got back from Marina Crescent. I went to have lunch there and check out the Ramp Rebel Tour which was being held there this weekend. I have to say I have seen both Ozzy and my brother skateboard with more passion and skill while playing around at home then the two skateboarders I saw lazily play the half pipe. Maybe they were tired or bored but they were definitely not interesting to watch. I stayed there for like 20 minutes watching them just go up and down the half pipe dully and then falling half the time without doing anything. The only reason I stayed that long was because I was trying to find some shots to take with my Holga camera. I think I got some cool shots and once I develop the pictures I will post them here. I used colored film this time around.
They are opening a Ferrari theme park in UAE which will feature a racetrack, rides, and attractions, a display of Ferrari history, and even driving instructions. Its seems like a good idea but I would rather they open a 4×4 theme park here in Kuwait. The 4×4 park could have different rough and muddy trails which you could take your jeep through. I remember reading about one in Japan where you would bring your 4×4 and then pay to go around their offroad trail. [Link]
Belgian Shepherd Puppies

Well me and Nat finally decided on the Belgian Shepherd. I am in contact with an amazing breeder in Belgium and he agreed (after asking me like a zillion questions) on selling me a puppy. One of his dogs just had a new litter and he sent me this picture of the puppies with the mother. They were 1 day old in this picture and they all look like little rats.. cute rats. He will send me the puppy after January 14th since they need to be with the mother for the first 8 weeks. Until then I will hopefully be getting more pictures of the dogs and when I do I will post them here.
New Arrivals
Cool, seems Beirut is the place to be although I don’t understand why with all the recent political crap going on.
CooSt Tropez? Passé. Ibiza? So over. The hottest spots for bars and clubs in Europe right now are not where you’d expect. [More]
The other day I gave out Season 1 of the show Desperate Housewives to some employees at work and it seems everyone is now addicted to it. If you look around the office there are at least two employees quietly watching the show on their powerbooks. Two other employees were watching an episode during the lunch hour while the rest are staying up late at night trying to watch as many episodes as they can. I went to bed at 1:30AM yesterday after watching 4 episodes of the show, and even after I went to bed I wanted to go back to the living room to watch another episode (I got up to episode 20). The funniest part is no one can share the events of the show with another person no matter how big the event was because not everyone has gotten to the same episode yet. Some are ahead of others and spoilers are not allowed. Once everyone is done with Desperate Housewives I will get them Lost, that should keep them up late at night.
Single-letter Domains
Single-letter second-level domains are domain names in which the second-level domain consists of only one letter, such as x.org.
Such domains are rare, as on December 1, 1993, IANA explicitly reserved all single letter and single digit second-level domain names in the TLDs .com, .net, and .org.
However, the few such domains that were already assigned were not recalled, and so circumvented the restrictions that have existed since.

Hamster Going Nuts

I recently upgraded my hamsters home by doubling its size but ever since I did that my hamster has been acting strange. He shits where he sleeps, he stores his food where he pees and has been trying to destroy his only source of water for the past two days. He’s fucked in the head or something..
Kuwait & Video Games

I just found the blog of Faisal Al-Dhalmawi at 1up.com. He has a very interesting write up on Video Gaming in Kuwait. He was even able to take pictures of some of the stores from the outside AND inside! Pretty cool stuff. [Link]
