The iPod Nano problems seem to have hit the main stream media. Today Gizmodo, Engadget and iLounge reported on the issue. It will be interesting to see Apple reaction to all this. [Link]
Where did this come from?? I was just at the SonyStyle website when I found the Walkman Bean. The MP3 player looks really cool but the coolest thing about it is the built-in USB connector! So you can use the Walkman as a flash memory drive and a MP3 player. A full charge also lasts 50 hours! A 3 minute charge will give you a 3 hour charge! They come in funky colors and the most expensive one, the 1GB is only $149! The only downside, the ONLY downside is the fact that it doesn’t play AAC files.. but I guess I could get over that… [Link]
Cool.. Kevin Smith’s Flickr Account.
Update: Who is Keven Smith? He produced Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Good Will Hunting, Dogma and more. He starred in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (he was Silent Bob), Mallrats, Chasing Amy and more. For more info check him out on IMDB.
Some hardcore Simpsons fan in Australia actually went and built the Simpsons home from the cartoon. The interior is like a duplicate from the show with the same furniture and paintings on the wall. I wouldn’t live in the house but it does look pretty cool. Now if only someone would build Moe’s Bar.. here in Kuwait. More pics after the jump. [Link]
Was just checking out some hi-res shots of Angelina Jolie on idontlikeyouinthatway.com when I noticed a tattoo on her right arm. Its arabic and I believe it says “al-3azeemah” meaning the great one. This just made me dislike her more then I used to. [Link]
Why are bodies in the water always facedown? [Link]
Wow, never thought breakaway bottles would be so expensive! [Link]
A nice collection of Motel Signs from various parts of the US. I always wanted to stay at a Motel for some reason but I never got the chance, I guess since you see it so much in the movies and we really don’t have any similar places in Kuwait it becomes like something you can’t have which makes you want it more. I received the following email from jetblast2k:
Hi Mark, we usually know our aircrafts by their tail number, but today I noticed the nickname of 9K-ANC, an A340-300 of KAC, and took this shot for you. Check the [Link]
I was surprised to find out that Kuwait Airways planes had nicknames and I was really surprised to find out that one is called Miskan (although they spell it Meskan). Next time I fly with KA I will try to find out the nickname of the plane I am going to be flying with. If you have never seen the pictures taken by jetblast2k you should since he has some really wonderful stuff. [Link]
Note: For those of you who don’t know, Miskan is a photography project I currently involved in. [Link]
The design of the Nintendo Revolution controller was finally made public today. Its incredibly creative and definitely kicks both Microsoft and Sonys ass in the controller department.. especially Sony who have their weird looking boomerang controller. The Revolution controller comes in two parts (one is pictured above) and has motion sensors so it can detect if you are holding the controller sideways or which direction you are turning it. This can be used in games so for example if you are playing Star Wars you can swing the controller around and your character on the screen will swing his Light Saber the same way you are. So now the Nintendo Revolution has 2 things going for it, you can play old Nintendo games on the system plus it has an incredibly smart controller. [Link]
Update: Check out this link for a lot more better pictures of the controller [Link]
I was just googling and I saw this [Screenshot]
Found this picture I took back in 91 of the old Marriott hotel which was burnt by the Iraqis. I have more pictures of other buildings that were destroyed but I cant seem to find them anywhere. Anyway click here if you want to view the above picture in hi-res.
A few months ago I was able to gather a whole bunch of pictures from after the invasion which I found online and uploaded to a flickr account. If you want to see those click here.
A nice timeline of Yahoo and Google front pages from 1996 up to 2005. Yahoo used to be soo much cooler. [Link]
