King Abdullah a Trekkie

King Abdullah is an acknowledged fan of Star Trek. In 1995, while he was still Prince, he appeared as an extra in the Star Trek: Voyager episode “Investigations.” Abdullah’s role was not given any speaking lines because he was not a member of the Screen Actors Guild.

Puppets Who Kill

Puppets Who Kill has to be the strangest TV show I have watched in a while. The show is a combination of puppetry and real people and the story is about these four homicidal puppets living in a halfway house with a clueless human social worker. I only watched one episode so far and it was extremely funny and even had a sex scene between a puppet and a real person which I found… weird. The whole show is just “different” like that. If you can get a hold of it from Amazon or Torrents then do so.

2006 Emmy Nominations
The drama series has to be the toughest category with 24, Greys Anatomy AND The Sopranos facing off against each other. I would vote for Sopranos though. The comedy series catgory includes the cancelled Arrested Development show which means it will win since there is no other show funnier. Check out the full list of nominations by clicking the [Link]
Eva Longoria Gets Punk’d
Not a really huge fan of the show but this is a pretty good punk. [Video]

Wow I saw Chip Foose design this car and then watched his team build it on one of the episodes of Overhaulin and now the car is for sale on eBay. I am not into classic cars but this one is gorgeous. There are TONS of pictures you can check out after clicking the link. The current bidding price is over $150,000! [Link]

So you think you can dance

The summer is here and all the cool shows are taking a break so this is a good time to catch up on some shows like CSI, Six Feet Under, The Simpsons etc.. and also find some new ones. One show I just started watching is So You Think You Can Dance. My friend first told me about it but I didn’t think much until I watched this funny clip on YouTube. I then ended up downloading episode 1 of season 2 and I just fell in love with the show. I just LOVE the popping and the break dancing, its just really amazing to watch. There are also some REALLY weird people that come on this show and its also extremly fun to watch them. Anyway if you get a chance watch the show, click on the links in this post to see some cool samples of what the show is about.
2005-2006 TV Series Rankings
Here is a full list of how all the TV shows ranked this season. I have no fucking clue how LOST is in 14th place while 24 is in 23rd place and Prison Break in 55th. Season 2 of lost was the most boring show on television filled with nothing that made season 1 (and early season 2) exciting to watch. Sure they fixed it with the season finale but thats too little too late. [Link]
update: I just noticed Arrested Development is like in position 123 so now I know the list means nothing.

It looks like today is going to be about TV shows. When you look for one thing you end up finding other things. This article I am linking to is written by Dr. Marc Siegel who is an internist and an associate professor of medicine at New York University’s School of Medicine. He talks about Greys Anatomy last episodes of season 2 and how accurate the events that occured on the show would be compared to real life. If you haven’t watched the episodes in question don’t follow the link because there are spoilers. [Link]
update: It seems its now requiring users to login to LA Times. So I copied pasted the article and you can read it below.
