I passed by the animals section of Friday Market today and it was sickening. I hate going there and it had been a really long time since I was last there but I was curious to see if things had changed. They haven’t.

Isn’t there an animal care and control bureau here in Kuwait? Look at the picture of the dog above, it was spray painted, had strange stains all over him and what looks like wounds from a dog fight. Why doesn’t the government or animal bureau do anything about it?

The Stallion commented in my previous Kuwait motor show post that Fouad Al-Ghanim will be bringing Spyker to Kuwait and they will have cars at the exhibition. I checked the Spyker website and it confirms that they WILL be at the exhibition so thats going to be pretty cool. [Link]

Probably the only exhibition at Mishref that is worth going to and its going to be held from November 28th till December 4th. One automotive event I am surprised they haven’t repeated again is the 4×4 one that was held at Marina Crescent like 2 years ago. [Link]

Last year Amazon had an offer where they sold a limited quantity of Xbox 360’s for $100. I tried to purchase one but wasn’t able to because their servers flooded and my connection wasn’t fast enough to get through. This year Amazon have a similar offer except its a chance to purchase the Nintendo Wii for only $79. For some reason they’ve changed the timings this year and now, if I want to have a chance to purchase one of these Wii’s, I need to be up Thursday at 5AM in the morning. update: Ok it seems its different from last years campaign. Since there was so much chaos last year, this year Amazon is RANDOMLY selecting 1000 customers who will be eligible to purchase the Wii at the discounted price.

A new trailer is out for Cloverfield and it practically confirms there is a monster… although we still can’t see it. The release date is coming up quickly and if we are lucky it will get released in Kuwait the same time as the US. I was just checking the Cinescape website and The Matador just got released here.. two years behind so you never know. [Trailer]

The world’s highest fountain is located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and it blasts water 312 meters up in the air which is higher than the Eiffel Tower. There is a video of it in action and more pictures [Here]

I just found out the Nokia N810 got released. I saw pictures of it previously but I thought it was going to come out some time next year, guess I misread. The N810 has built in wifi, GPS and a keyboard (finally). I always disliked the earlier models because the lack of a keyboard so its cool they finally installed one. The tablet is selling on Amazon for $459. [Amazon Link]

Anyone know where I can find Count Chocula? Sultan gets them like randomly every few months and I can’t seem to find them anywhere else… Also while I am at it, anyone know where I can find Cadbury chocolate milk?

So Amazon just released the Kindle which according to them is what the iPod is to music, the Kindle is to books and magazines. It looks really ugly but the concept is really strong and I think has a lot of potential. You purchase books and subscribe to magazines and newspapers through the Kindle device and it all works wirelessly without the need of a computer or Internet connection. The problem is the device connects wirelessly using EV-DO which I know very little about and I doubt works here in Kuwait. You can check out the Amazon page for more information and better pictures.
