There is a Ford Driving Experience taking place today (Jan 22nd) at the Kuwait International Fair Grounds. They will have brand new 2011 Mustangs which anyone can test drive. The even is open to the public from 10:30AM till 5:00PM.

This looks like it’s going to be one hell of a show. The Ahmadi Music Group & Orchestra will be presenting one of the most famous and exciting choral works ever performed in Kuwait with a large orchestra of 40 musicians… Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana.

The weather was pretty cold today but a lot of people passed by the Gulf Run car show at 360 Mall. I got there at 1PM, had lunch at OFK and then spent the rest of the day hanging out at the GulfRun stand. Tomorrow is the last day for the show so pass by if you can and check out all the cars. I’m probably going to be there all day again tomorrow.

The weekend is upon us and the GulfRun 6 car show is around the corner. With that we have the raffle which all donations going to the Hayat Cancer Foundation. The prizes this year are:

Today is the first day of REUSE 4.0 which is being held on the premises of the Australian College of Kuwait. REUSE 4.0 features a dynamic mix of art galleries, music, film screenings, mixed media installations, a lounge, go-kart sprints, trendy eco-fashion & accessories, prizes, surprises & more. My brother got invited to exhibit his abandoned Amiri Hospital pictures at the event and he was there yesterday and took some pictures of the event which you can check out below.

G-Force are putting together a private meet for GTR owners and their accompanied friends. There will be a Coffee Republic stand serving refreshments as well as a photo shoot for the GTR’s. For 2011 Cinemagic will continue the journey of The Old, The Latest and The Best. Films that would never see the light in Kuwait, films that you should never miss, films that you might like and others might hate but agreed that it added flavor to your taste, films that we should all discover and cherish. I’ve watched two of the movies from this months schedule, Son of Rambow and City of God. Son of Rambow was pretty cool but City of God is like one of the best movies ever made. If you’re going to choose one movie to watch this month then watch City of God.

Cinemagic Kuwait, is organizing these events as part of its efforts to contribute to the development of an internationally competitive Kuwaiti audio-visual production industry, partly by bringing the filmmakers and audiences together and by Increasing the public’s interest in – and appreciation for – the art of film-making. There is going to be a partial solar eclipse tomorrow and if you’re interested in observing it you can do so at the home of astronomer Adel Alsadoun. He’s inviting the public to come by and check it out from there since he will have a telescope connected to a large screen to view the eclipse plus he will be providing solar eclipse glasses.

The Pro Kart Racing Club is organizing a Universities & Colleges Karting Cup that will be taking place next month. It’s divided into a “Males Cup” and a “Females Cup” so that way everyone gets to participate. The cost is KD30 if you’re a racer and KD10 if you’re a supporter. This includes an open buffet but not sure if the KD30 fee includes the cost for all the races (practice, qualification etc..).

UFC legend and hall of famer Royce Gracie is coming back to Kuwait! Last time he was here I didn’t participate in his seminar but I managed to get a picture with him while he performed the rear naked choke on me. [Link]

This is one of my favorite events that takes place in Kuwait so I definitely will be passing by. I hope they have some interesting cars this year like the Lexus LFA or the Land Rover Evoque.

The Kuwait International Fair Auto Show is one of the oldest automobile exhibitions in the Middle East. To this day, the Auto Show is growing remarkably and has positioned itself as one of the foremost automobile exhibitions in the Middle Eastern region. This must-attend event is held once every two years, and 2010 will see its appearance once again, providing a wealth of opportunities for exhibitors, sponsors and partner organizations.
