Thanks Sahar

My friend who was attending a conference in Doha today snapped the picture above. The photo on the bottom right in that presentation is the one below which I shot back in 2005 at the Kuwait Airport. It’s by far the most popular photo I’ve ever taken since it been making its away around the world popping up in different places as an epic fail photo.

Thanks Alex

I met my friend for breakfast this morning and he told me the funniest story. Last night around 3:45AM he was having trouble sleeping when he heard glass shatter outside his apartment building in Shaab. He then heard more glass shattering so he got up and looked outside and saw some guys breaking into the 5àsec laundromat.

So he picked up the phone and called the cops who replied telling him they can’t do anything about it and that he needs to come down to the station to file a complaint. He was like f it and went back to bed.

A reader caught this spelling mistake on a flyer for a shawerma place. I’d definitely describe that as a “wow”.
Thanks Rakan
Cute. Skip to the 6 minute mark if you don’t have the patience. [YouTube]
I laughed so hard I cried. [YouTube]
Thanks Musaed
The continuation for the Red Mango commercial has been released and I now think their commercials are my favorite this Ramadan (and yes I prefer it over the Qualitynet one). [YouTube]
If you missed out on the first part you can watch it [Here]
Update: I just noticed the video says part 2 of 3 which means there’s still another one left. I don’t mind a series of ads for the same campaign but I’m not a fan of one single ad divided into smaller parts. This is YouTube, you can release one long ad and not have to worry about the advertising cost…

I’d joke and say this is where the unclaimed Shop and Ship items end up but I won’t since I’d start getting a ton of emails from people asking me where the shop is.

This logo is currently circulating around in Nottingham because of the news that Kuwait’s Al-Hasawi Family are buying the club. Reminds me of the new Aston Martin logo.
Thanks John

I guess these signs are becoming more common at government buildings. The sign translates to “Please don’t ask us questions”.
Thanks Patrick
Hilarious but really catchy. [YouTube]

This was in the paper around 10 days back but I just read about it on “Traveler’s Random Mental Wanderings & Contemplations”
A man was taken to the Psychiatric Hospital after coastguards plucked him out of the sea where he had been, reportedly, looking for mermaid. Coastguards reported to the scene, near the Messilah Beach, following reports of a man walking into the sea with his clothes on in what passersby thought was a suicide attempt. After the man was located and rescued, he told officers that he was simply looking for a mermaid he believes to be in the area. After failing to convince the adamant man out of his plans, the officers offered to help him go to another beach and search for mermaids there. Their ploy worked and they instead escorted the man to the mental facility.
Pretty strange and funny. Anyway check out “Traveler’s Random Mental Wanderings & Contemplations”, I just started reading it awhile ago and so far I find the guy really entertaining to read. [Link]
