According to Mac Observer, Apple will be introducing a G5 Mac mini, new dual core G5 PowerMacs and new PowerBooks with a speed bump and HD screen at next months Apple Expo. [Link]
So again, I repeat do not buy any of those macs now.

This site is really cool, I always wanted to learn advance techniques to pen spinning.. [Link]

10. Sherlock Holmes NEVER said, “Elementary, my dear Watson.”
YouTube.com is a service like Flickr except instead of people sharing pictures they share short videos. I personally don’t have any movies I want to share with people but it is interesting to watch other peoples videos. For example I just watched one guy do a pretty good Napoleon Dynamite impersonation and now I am going to look for some amatuer porn videos. [Link]
An interesting article on how Start.com is a waste of a great domain name. [Link]

At first I thought this movie was a hoax or a spoof but it turns out its real and its a documentary. Its really interesting and funny, its about a group of people who live 2 lives, their real life where they work and have a regular family, and their play life where they are part of a huge army of medieval warriors. Maybe we should setup the same thing here in Kuwait. [Link]
Come October 1st I will sign up at the NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) website. Its a cool project where people will have 30 days to write a novel. I will sign up in October because thats when they will allow people to actually sign up for the challenge. Then, at midnight, on November 1, I will have to begin writing my novel with everyone else. The goal is to write a 50,000-word novel by midnight, on November 30th. 30 days to write a 50,000 word novel. Sounds like an interesting challenge and from now till then I have lots of time to think of something to write about, maybe base my novel on a true to life experience.. will have to see. [Link]

K sent me a link last week about Mohammed Ben Sulayem’s Mercedes SLK that was fitted with an SLR engine. It seemed a bit like too much BS and it was causing the same BS feelings in various forums. Today K sent me a link with details on this extreme makeover and it turns out this is a real car and it really is an SLK with an SLR engine. Check it out. [Link]
If we did this in Kuwait we would probably get shot at. A group of flashmobbers in San Francisco decided to dress up as zombies and terrorize the streets looking for human brains. This link will take you to pictures of the event. [Link]
This is a cool website with lots of tips and tricks from people. My favorite is from a Sandwich Enthusiast:
When ordering a “custom” sandwich from a deli, Subway, or college cafeteria, say the name of each ingredient with a air of finality, as though it will be the last ingredient on your sandwich. The sandwich-maker will pile plenty of the stuff on, trying to fill your sandwich to a respectable size, not realizing you intend to ask for more ingredients.
Make sure you check the archives for a lot more. [Link]
I was checking out some of my old websites and I found one called “the truth”. It was created back in 1998 and it was mainly about UFOs with interesting articles on the Bermuda Triangle, Heaven’s Gate cult, Men in Black (the movie characters are based on real life ones) and Area 51. I was really into UFO’s back then probably because I was such a big fan of the X-Files. [Link]

Ages ago I posted about the LEGO Death Star Kit, so I was checking out Lego’s website the other day and I also found the Imperial Star Destroyer. This ship is huge measuring an impressive 37” by 23” this model dwarfs any LEGO Star Wars ship ever produced. It contains over 3100 lego pieces and looks really cool. But again, like the Death Star, this LEGO will set you back $299! [Link]

Found this old Mac magazine ad, its really funny reading about it now. Technology really has come a long way since then. [Link]
The attached manual was located in Manchester (England) by Metropolitan Police during a search of an Al Qaeda member’s home. The manual was found in a computer file described as “the military series” related to the “Declaration of Jihad.” The manual was translated into English and was introduced earlier this year at the embassy bombing trial in New York. The Department is only providing the following selected text from the manual because it does not want to aid in educating terrorists or encourage further acts of terrorism.

I was talking about how crappy humid weather is and how we are lucky we don’t live in Dubai when a friend mentioned that Dubai actually asked NASA to study the possibility of controlling the weather in Dubai. Anyone know anything about this? Google revealed nothing.
