There is a new mall opening near AUK in Salmiya called Symphony Mall. A friend of mine was telling me today that its supposed to be the most luxurious mall in Kuwait. According to what he heard they will have the worlds most expensive bathroom at this mall. Woman would be able to get foot massages in the bathroom. There will also be a water bar at the mall with a whole variety of bottled water from around the globe. Carrying your own bags will also be a thing of the past, Symphony Mall will provide shoppers with their own slave personal assitant who will carry the bags for them.

Should turn out to be an interesting place..

Anyone know of a good medical insurance company in Kuwait? I tried ALICO but they only insure in groups of larger then 10.

I left work around 12:30PM and passed by the TriStar showroom to check out the Ducati bikes. I think I am in love with the Ducati Monster… its just really ugly in a cool way. I found the picture above online, I think its a cool natural shot of the bike.

Just got back from the meetup. I was expecting or should I say I was hoping that around 20 people would come but to my surprise around 35 people showed up. It was pretty cool and I got to put faces on a lot of nicknames, also having Starbucks as our venue was a good choice since we had a whole section to ourselves. Overall it was nice meeting everyone and for those who missed it maybe we will meet next time.

Just got an SMS from the Choowy Goowy owner, he will be sending cookies to the meetup tonight. That way whoever hasn’t tried the cookies yet will have a chance to tonight.

What the hell is an ass size?

The 248AM Meetup is going to be held tonight (Monday, August 7th) at 9PM at the Starbucks in front of Al-Fanar Complex in Salmiya. We will gather upstairs and me and Nat will probably be the first people there.

If you don’t know anyone thats fine, no one knows anyone anyway and the purpose of this meetup is to meet new people and just hang out. So don’t be shy or anything like that, its just a gathering not a blind date.

Qualitynet: KD24.5 a month (You need an NBK account for this price)
UnitedNet: KD25 a month (Yearly contract paid montly)
Fasttelco: KD70 a month (KD50 if paid 1 year in advance)

Just a note, Fasttelco had the lousiest sales guy when I called, really crap. UnitedNet don’t seem to have a website which I think is very ify Turns out they do have a website but google doesn’t know about it. With Qualitynet if you don’t have an NBK account then you need to pay the full year subscription in advance or you will have to pay the monthly fee of KD38.

I ordered a package from Amazon on Tuesday and I chose overnight shipping. Package arrived to my USWS mailbox on Wednesday and shipped at the same time. Today morning the package arrived to Kuwait and is now being delivered to me.

I was just checking Cyberrowdy’s blog and realized today is my 5 year anniversary since I moved back to Kuwait after university. I arrived on August 5th 2001, it was the most humid day ever recorded in Kuwaiti history or something like that. I remember by the time I got from the airport to the car I was soaked wet as if I had just taken a shower.

Just spoke to Nats boss at work, he wants to buy some arcade machines for their office and Nat told him I had contacts. I repeat that, he wants to buy some arcade machines for the office! Her new company is starting to sound like one of those Silicon Valley start ups…

First time I saw this on a car I was like damn that guy must have been doing some major offroading. Second time I saw it on a car I was like wait, it can’t be mud, must be paint primer. After seeing it a bunch of times on various cars I realized this was actually a paint job. It seems some people find this cool.. I don’t understand why.
