Can’t believe I found this site. It basically a site called Bootleg Browser that has links to bootleg mp3s and videos. [Link]

When I was in university I used to enjoy designing CD covers for my friends remix albums. My dream was when I graduate I would continue doing CD and poster designs for chillout CDs. Since I graduated though I haven’t done any.. until now. I have to design a CD and Tape cover for a very famous local singer. The problem? I have to stick with a picture of the musician (that he chose) on the main cover, I have to stick a ton of pictures of the musician and his friends on the inside, I have to use gold AND I have to do all this by Saturday. I met the singer yesterday he was cool, and this project is interesting because its for a famous singer and it will be everywhere when done. But, I don’t think there is much I can do design wise and the fact that its due on Saturday means I have to rush this.. I wish I had more time for this..
Here it is, Kermit and Big Bird stoned. [MP3 1.1MB]

The Ghost That Feeds – Ray Parker Jr’s “Ghostbusters” vs. Nine Inch Nails “The Hand That Feeds” [Via]
I preordered 2 copies of the NIN new album With Teeth, limited edition dual disc version before they went out of stock on Amazon.
I overheard my sister and mum talk about this wanting to know what happened. Well surprisingly CNN has an article on why Hisham Abdel Rahman the guy who won Star Acadamy this year got detained in Saudi. Turns out all he did was greet some fans who had spotted him at a shopping mall and the religous police didn’t think they way he greeted them was appropriate and so asked him to leave the mall. When he refused they arrested him. [Link]
I spent all night listening to the British Radio One in my car. Whenever there is a dust storm or humidity in Kuwait my car gets the Radio One signal on 102.1Mhz. I think its broadcasted from UAE or Bahrain. Tonight I was listening to the Ministry of Sound session, some really cool stuff.. for the radio atleast.
Nine Inch Nails – With Teeth
I was adding stuff to my amazon wish list and one of the stuff I added was Nine Inch Nails new album called With Teeth which is coming out next month. Out of curiosity though I decided to check and see if any of the songs were available on P2P networks. Surprisingly they were! So I downloaded a whole bunch and I have to say these new songs are sooo fucking cool. I can’t wait till the new album comes out on CD. I noticed also its more electronic then the previous albums, one song sounds drum n bass while another sounds ambient. Overall though this is gonna be one amazing album. My favorite song is Right Where It Belongs. I have had it in loop for the past 30 minutes. I uploaded a 1 minute teaser so you can hear it. [MP3 Link] If anyone wants to preorder it here is the amazon link.
Lyrics to teaser above:
What if everything around you,
Isn’t quite as it seems?
What if all the world you used to know,
Is an elaborate dream?
Bush Steals Music
Just read this on boingboing and found it too funny:
The president also has an eclectic mix of songs downloaded into his iPod from Mark McKinnon, a biking buddy and his chief media strategist in the 2004 campaign. Among them are “Circle Back” by John Hiatt, “(You’re So Square) Baby, I Don’t Care” by Joni Mitchell and “My Sharona,” the 1970s song by The Knack that Joe Levy, a deputy managing editor in charge of music coverage at Rolling Stone, cheerfully branded “suggestive if not outright filthy” in an interview last week.
So his friend Mark McKinnon gave him songs from his collection, thats stealing. [Link]
Tool are NOT breaking up
This has to be the longest lasting April Fools prank of the year. On April 1st Maynard Keenan the lead frontman for one my favorite bands Tool sent an email saying he found Jesus. This was an obvious attempt to mock Brian Welch from Korn who a few months earlier decided to leave Korn because “he had found god“. Surprisingly though many people didn’t get joke and till today people still don’t it was just a joke. Even Nibaq was telling me the other day that if I knew Maynard had found Jesus. Here is a link with details on this April Fools prank, something like a detailed history of it.
By the way, now that I think about it, Keenan sounds like a Lebanese family name pronounced Kin-3an. Interesting…

My Autographed iPod mini
Do you know who originally created the iPod? If you guessed Steve Jobs then you are absolutely wrong. The father of the ipod is an engineer called Tony Fadell. Another interesting fact is that Tony Fadell is a Lebanese citizen. I contacted Tony Fadell last year and I had a nice chat with him via email. He turned out to be a very cool guy. I asked him if I could send him my iPod mini so that he could autograph it for me. He told me I didn’t need to and then fedexed me an autographed blue ipod mini skeleton. So anyway thought I would showoff share a picture of my autographed blue mini with you.

How To Find MP3’s with Google
I found this link to a website with a very comprehensive guide on finding MP3s using google. Since AllofMp3.com is probably gonna get shut down soon and I hate using P2P software, this will be another way of finding some music. Oh how I miss the golden days of AudioGalaxy..
