Billy Corgan’s first solo album “TheFutureEmbrace” was released just yesterday yet Billy Corgan also released a full page ad in the Chicago Tribune saying that he wants Smashing Pumpkins to reunite! Smashing Pumpkins are one of my favorite bands ever, the line which I use for 2:48AM “Breathing underwater and living under glass” is actually from one of their songs. So having them reunite again would be one of the coolest things that could happen. [Link]

I got the new Audioslave CD yesterday, so far it reminds me a lot of Unified Theory for some reason. Will give a full review in a couple of days time.

This would look really cool on my desk at work, plus its going to be cheap. It won’t replace my fantasy of owning an Aibo, but it will do until I could afford one. Can’t wait for Amazon.com to start selling them, here it a bit of info on the iDog:

The iDog is capable of changing its feelings from happy to angry by moving it’s ears and rotating the head and by changing the color of the 7 LED lights on its head. The idog music bot has stored music sequences and melodies it will play based on the interaction with its sensors. For instance it gets happy when users touch its ears and pad on its head. It gets surprised when users touch its nose or wave in front of him. The Sega iDog will become angry when users touch its tail. A MP3 Player like the iPod can be attached to the iDog via 3.5mm audio cable. IT has a mono-speaker built-in. A microphone is also present in the iDog.

Its supposed to be released in North America in the Fall of 2005 by Hasbro and should cost $29.99. If you can’t wait that long, AudioCubes is carrying the Japanese version but for $89. Here is a link to the Japanese iDog website.

I don’t know how I missed this, maybe because at first glance the tape adapter looks like a regular tape adapter. But, when you read on you realize that this is not regular by any means. The Griffin Technology tape adapter actually allows you to control your ipod using your cars tape deck! Someone told me about this 5 minutes ago and I was like no way, then I checked out the site and turns out its true. This means we can ditch the crappy iTrip and finally get some decent sound. When I was in university I used to enjoy designing CD covers for my friends remix albums. My dream was when I graduate I would continue doing CD and poster designs for chillout CDs. Since I graduated though I haven’t done any.. until now. I have to design a CD and Tape cover for a very famous local singer. The problem? I have to stick with a picture of the musician (that he chose) on the main cover, I have to stick a ton of pictures of the musician and his friends on the inside, I have to use gold AND I have to do all this by Saturday. I met the singer yesterday he was cool, and this project is interesting because its for a famous singer and it will be everywhere when done. But, I don’t think there is much I can do design wise and the fact that its due on Saturday means I have to rush this.. I wish I had more time for this..

I overheard my sister and mum talk about this wanting to know what happened. Well surprisingly CNN has an article on why Hisham Abdel Rahman the guy who won Star Acadamy this year got detained in Saudi. Turns out all he did was greet some fans who had spotted him at a shopping mall and the religous police didn’t think they way he greeted them was appropriate and so asked him to leave the mall. When he refused they arrested him. [Link]

I spent all night listening to the British Radio One in my car. Whenever there is a dust storm or humidity in Kuwait my car gets the Radio One signal on 102.1Mhz. I think its broadcasted from UAE or Bahrain. Tonight I was listening to the Ministry of Sound session, some really cool stuff.. for the radio atleast.
