I promise this will be the last post related to the fireworks show but I really have to share this video. It’s the fireworks show shot from the perspective of the kite flyers who took part in the event. I swear one scene reminded me of the movie Apocalypse Now. [YouTube]

What I loved about this video is the fact it revolves around the human emotions during the fireworks show and not the actual fireworks.

I think TJC Films has been releasing on average a video a week which is just crazy. This week he released a video of En Mexico, a small Mexican restaurant located in Jabriya which I posted about early in the year. Makes me hungry. You can watch the video above or on [YouTube]

The Kuwait Science Club sent a Kuwaiti flag into space using a weather balloon. They recorded the whole thing with a GoPro camera and you can watch the footage above. [YouTube]

Yousef is a 17 year old Kuwaiti kid with a thing for backflips. He went around Kuwait and shot clips of himself backflipping in front of different landmarks and inside different places with the idea to show Kuwait in a different way.

I had no idea who Emmy was until a reader emailed me telling me about her. Emmymade in Japan is a YouTube channel where Emmy usually reviews different kind of candies (mostly from Japan) while eating them in front of the camera. Well it seems she has some Kuwaiti viewers because someone from Kuwait sent her a box full of treats all the way to Japan. It’s really fun watching her trying to figure out what everything is. Exit is a short film that revolves around a Ministry building in Kuwait. It’s really not that great a video but I really liked the idea of a bored employee making a film at his workplace. [Vimeo]

Palm trees next to a building near Marina Mall caught fire in the morning, Some of the cars were burnt as a result. Kuwait fire department was quick to douse the fire, small video from the incident (I guess no one was injured in the incident)

A new video by tjcfilms, this one is with BBoy Psycho who talks about the BBoy scene in Kuwait while also displaying some of his moves. I really like the videos tjcfilms keep producing since in a way he keeps us connected with scenes that aren’t really mainstream or very exposed. The music is by Gemini and called “Nothingness”.
