Here is an interesting rant by a Mac developer on the problems with the MacBook Pro. Lower screen resolution, slower less capable superdrive, higher power consumption, removal of the firewire800 port, Dialup jack and S-Video output are some of the reasons he mentions. [Link]

Mila Kunis getting married
Mila Kunis (Jackie from The 70’s Show) is getting married to Macaulay Culkin (Home Alone)??? What’s wrong with her?? Couldn’t she find anyone better?? [Link]
They make money
Yesterday I read that Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey were selling their house for like 3.7 million dollars and didn’t think much of it but just now I read that Justin Berfield who plays Reese on the show Malcom in the Middle bought the house! I knew Frankie Muniz (Malcom) made a lot of money but Reese also?? [Link]
Yesterday night I watched the new Pierce Brosnan movie called The Matador. In the movie Pierce plays the roll of a hitman who meets Greg Kinnear in a bar in Mexico City. They become friends and the movie takes the viewers along on their strange relationship.
This has to be one of the best Pierce Brosnan movies I have ever watched. The movie visually is very funky and the story itself is very original and entertaining. I really liked it a lot and thats why I am giving it a 4 out of 5. [Link]

Adobe Lightroom
The photography software Adobe Lightroom beta is out and I downloaded and played around with it for a bit now and it seems cool. The installation file is like only 4MB and the system requirements needed to run are very acceptable. Unlike Aperture, Adobe Lightroom not only runs on my G5 at work but will also run on my older G4 at home. Seems like Adobe really wants to kick Apple’s ass. [Link]
Note: The beta is currently available only for Macs.
2007 Jeep Wrangler

Holga in Lebanon
I took my Holga Camera with me to Lebanon and while I was there I took some pictures. A bunch came out a bit blurry I am guessing either because I wasn’t holding the camera steady enough or the fact that the focus system on this $20 camera isn’t very reliable. Some pictures turned out interesting and I am really starting to get a handle on this camera. Its terrible for indoor shots (no flash, shutter speed 1/100 with 8f, my film is iso 100) but does a great job during the day outdoor. Its definitely a landscape camera. Here are my favorite pictures from my trip. [Link]
New Chevy Camaro
I didn’t like what they did to the new Mustang so I am glad to see the new Camaro looks like its gonna kick its ass. [Link]
Its good to be back.
It seems every company that redesigns their old logo ends up with one thats worse then the original. AT&T anyone? I think the new Kodak logo lacks personality and uniqueness. It looks older then the logo its replacing. Classics should not be messed with. [Link]
Its not as bad as Kuwait’s Airport (its pretty close though) but it still sucks. First of all it stinks of something, like coming into a house that hasn’t had their windows open for years. The AC is also off and its really hot and stuff.. I am in my tshirt nearly sweating. There is Internet but its like $10 for 75 minutes. There is no entertainment, and 1 very over priced restaurant. My flight has been delayed, way to go Kuwait Airways. I am bored.
Newsvine Invites
Wow I wasn’t expecting that much of an interest in Newsvine. I sent out an invite to the first 19 people to comment since Nibaq sent me an SMS at like 6AM asking for one. If I get anymore invites will send them out to the rest.
It Rocks! If anyone needs an invite leave a comment below. I got 20 invites to give out. [Link]
Long Day
Today was fucked, I past by the photographer at 1PM, they were retouching the shots we took yesterday and I had estimated I would spend max 1 hour finalizing the retouching with them. I ended up leaving at 9PM! Really long day but luckily they were shooting some wine bottles for one of their clients so we ended up drinking a ton of red wine. I will be back in Kuwait tomorrow.
