Last month Al Nasr, a Basketball team in Kuwait signed up American center John Francis Smith to play for their team. Well John is in Kuwait now and he’s made a video of the apartment the team has given him. It looks really nasty and very old, I don’t think I could even spend a night there yet alone live there. Its a really shitty place and he’s really really pissed. [YouTube]

George Bush is coming to Kuwait today (Friday) as part of his trip to the Gulf. I heard a lot of the roads will be closed, I hope that isn’t true since I don’t want to get stuck in Salmiya all day. [Link]

I just found a video blogger here in Kuwait. It a girl, her name is Rashisha and she has tons of videos on YouTube ranging from her singing karaoke with her brother to videos of her taken while she is driving complaining about work. She also has a blog which I added to “Our Friends” section on the right. Lots of wacky stuff check her out. [YouTube Link]

Tonight I passed by Sultan Center and noticed they no longer had Indian eggs and instead have replaced them with fresh locally produced eggs by KUPCO selling for a very reasonable KD1 for a tray of 30 eggs. I guess the local egg crisis is nearly over?

The other day I posted about the great offer that the SONY dealer had where you can buy a 60GB Sony PS3 plus a get a game of your choice and an extra controller for KD139 and a PS3 by itself for KD135. Well it turns out the salesman was an idiot. For KD139 you get a 40GB PS3 with one joypad and the movie Spiderman and here is the best part, for KD135 you get a 60GB PS3 by itself BUT it doesn’t come with warranty! I spoke to a salesman over the phone after I heard about this just to confirm and it turned out to be true.

Even stores in Rihab who are selling grey market PS3’s give customers at least 3 months warranty, how come the official SONY dealer doesn’t provide warranty on the PS3’s they’re selling? This is just wrong in so many ways, its really a bad business decision. There is a lot of piracy in Kuwait and if the SONY dealer wants people to purchase proper Middle East versions of the PS3’s and not the grey market USA and Japanese version this is really the wrong way to go about it. Why should I buy from the official dealer if the grey market versions have warranty and theirs don’t?

Axis of Evil will be back in Kuwait again on December 16th. It will be held at AUK again there will be two shows. Tickets will go on sale in about a weeks time.

To be honest at first when my friends were talking about Axis of Evil I thought they were either a boy band or some DJ but then I remembered they were a comedy act which I had first heard about on CNN. Well Axis of Evil are coming to Kuwait tomorrow but don’t get your hopes up, tickets were already sold out from the first day. The comedy act is being handled by AUK so if you know someone there (not a student) they might be able to hook you up with tickets. Tickets were priced at KD20 each. Is anyone scalping tickets?

According to 4thring, the new Nissan GT-R will be on display at the Kuwait International Automobile Exhibition that is being held in Kuwait this month. If its true then it looks like this years motor show will be the best one yet featuring the Nissan GT-R, Spyker cars and the BMW concept car, the CS.

Probably the only exhibition at Mishref that is worth going to and its going to be held from November 28th till December 4th. One automotive event I am surprised they haven’t repeated again is the 4×4 one that was held at Marina Crescent like 2 years ago. [Link]

Since when have the Kuwait Towers been lit with blue flood lights? It looks pretty cool and slightly eerie.

A bunch of motorbike riders from Kuwait have left on a long road trip to Beirut. One of the riders is Hellraiser, a fellow blogger whos actually gone and setup a blog specifically for this journey.
