My brother is coming to Kuwait this weekend for 10 days and since he really hasn’t watched that many Arrested Development episodes I have decided have an Arrested Development Fiesta. 3 seasons to watch in less then 10 days. I like watching funny shows with him since he laughs out loud like me. I downloaded this geeky funny show the other day called Ctrl Alt Chicken. Its a cooking show in which the chefs don’t know how to cook! In the first episode which was just recently release, the two hosts tackle the Chicken Cordon Bleu.

Seems there is a Lebanese guy on the show The Apprentice this season. Tarek Saab, a 27-year-old Maronite Catholic and the son of a Lebanese father and an American mother, lived in war-torn Lebanon as a child before he and his family came to the U.S. and moved into public housing projects in New Bedford, Mass. Billy West (the voice of Fry, Dr. Zoidberg and others) releases more inside info. According to a post he made on his message board, Futurama is going to be renewed for television with 26 episodes. No word as to what network it will be on or which cast members will rejoin the show. [Link]

I was just reading Pearls blog when her post on Game Shows reminded me of my favorite show.. The Price is Right. I really love it, I don’t know why, I think maybe because it reminds me of the summer I spent in California. I was always terrible at guessing the prices of the items but thats because they would be like totally random stuff that I would never use in my life. Anyone know where I could find torrents of the show because I would really like to download some episodes..

Used to be my favorite show, I missed out on a lot of episodes when I was in university so I just started watching them all over again. I got 9 seasons which means I should be done by Christmas!

Prison Break
Season 1, Episode 13
I hated the show when I first started watching it because I didn’t like the main guy. Now though I still hate him but I really like all the supporting actors who are pretty fucked up but in a cool way.

Season 5, Episode 12
The best show ever, I have said it a million times already and will say it a million more times, Jack Bauer is just the coolest character ever. I was watching the movie Stand By Me the other day and it turns out Jack played the role of this delinquent teenager. It was an old movie and he was really young in it but he still looked a lot like Jack does now which made things weird.

Family Guy
Season 1, Episode 8
I watched the movie first, then I watched season 4 and now I am watching season 1. Doesn’t make sense I know but better then nothing.

Arrested Development
Season 3, Episode 10
I only have 3 more episodes left and I am scared to watch them. Arrested Development got canceled last year and the show ends at episode 13 of season 3 so once I am done, I am done forever. I never want the Arrested Development experience to end so I am watching only 1 episode a week but I know in three weeks time it will be all over, one of the funniest shows ever made will be over. Its sad.

This show is like a spoof of the TV show COPS. Sometimes I find it really corny but other times I can’t stop laughing.

Knight Rider

KITT was really pimped out. He had a built in video game system, GPS navigation, video conferencing, Nitros, night vision, voice activation… some really high tech stuff..

Desperate Housewives
Season 2, Episode 15
Its not as fun as season 2 but doing a hell of a lot better then Lost (read below)

I have no clue why I am still watching this crap. Season 2 has been a disaster, the show has become extremely lame, boring, uneventful and repetetive. What started off as one of the most exciting shows ever has taken a 180 degree turn for the worst. Total crap.

Curb Your Enthusiam
Season 1, Episode 8
Larry Davids charactar is a mixture of Jerry Seinfeld and George Costanza. He’s a bit weird at first but you get used to him.

Weeds
Season 1, Episode 10
This show started off boring but it started getting really good around episode 3. Its about a school mum who starts dealing weed to make some money. First season is only 10 episodes and now I have to wait till July for season 2, I can’t wait.

Update: I added Weeds, don’t know how I forgot about it.

Thanks to Rami I currently use Tivo to record all my favorite shows on Showtime. But tonight I past by the Showtime stand at Marina Mall and noticed they now have something similar called Showbox. I tried to find out how close Showbox is to Tivo in features but the salesperson there didn’t know anything. The way she explained it to me was that with Showbox I can watch any show I want any time, meaning if I feel like watching King of Queens now I can just click on King of Queens and watch it live. I think thats bullshit and she really doesn’t know what she is talking about. I got the leaflet on the Showbox from her and I was able to understand a bit more. Basically what I understood is you can pause live TV which is something the Tivo can do of course. With Showbox you could also schedule what you want it to record for you 7 days in advance but say Seinfeld is playing everyday, you have to manually tell it to record each and every episode one by one. Now this is where Tivo kicks Showbox’s ass. With Tivo I can just say record every episode of Seinfeld with one command and it will record every episode of Seinfeld from now until I tell it not to which can be a month from now, a year from now.. whenever I want. I don’t have to manually set it to record each and every episode over and over. Anyway she also said Showbox would cost me KD135 and has an 80GB hard drive inside. Tivo cost me $70 and I have a 120GB drive inside. So far Showbox doesn’t interest me but it might for those of you who don’t have a Tivo. I scanned the leaflet and you can check it out below.

I have been watching Prison Break for the past few days and I am now up to episode 8 of season 1. So far I find the show very nerve racking. You know how when watching movies where prisoners are trying to escape and you are always on the edge of your seat hoping they wouldn’t get caught? Take that feeling and multiply it by 24 because every episode of Prison Break is like that. I don’t have any nails left since I have been biting them too much. I don’t think the show is anything extraordinary but it does make me want to come back to it just to see whats going to happen. Anyway, Prison Break is now playing on TV Land if anyone is interested.

I just finished watching episode 5 from season 5 of the show ’24’. It was an amazing episode, there is no other show that is cooler, period. Nothing can come close, ’24’ is unfucking believably good. Jack Bauer is a motherfucker!
