Just checked out the new Roku SoundBridge Radio and it looks really sweet. It has built in wifi to connect to the web and gives me access to over 10,000 radio stations and even allows me to connect to my itunes. The only thing putting me off is the price tag of $350. The only way I would be willing to pay this much is if the sound turn out to be pretty good. If it turns out to be built using some cheap ass speakers it might be better off for me to get a media streamer and connect it to my Nakamichi alarm clock. [Link]

Yesterday I added a spammer to the blacklist and it seemed to have blocked everyone and anyone from posting a comment on the blog. I emptied the blocklist now and everything is back to normal. Sorry about that.

I hate the fact that Formula 1 isn’t a popular motor sport in Kuwait. Actually I don’t think any kind of motor sport is popular in Kuwait. When I was in Lebanon if there was a Formula 1 race on TV you wouldn’t find a single person on the streets. Since I have moved back to Kuwait I have lost touch with the Formula 1 world. The races take place on Sundays which is a day off in the majority of the world but not in Kuwait. This means when the races are on I am at work with no access to television. Anyway I think I found a good site for F1 news. I used to check out F1.com and other F1 sites but they are all too heavy on the graphics and not very easy to navigate. Thew new site I am currently checking out all the time is the BBC F1 section.. except I use the text version of the page. Check it out, its very practical to use. [Link]

Two persons were injured by an explosion that rocked the offices of the Kuwaiti embassy’s information center in Beirut’s commercial thoroughfare of Hamra at mid-morning Monday. There were conflicting reports about the blast which was attributed first to a hand grenade, then to a letter bomb and then to a parcel bomb. More info when available.

Update: Turns out it was just a guy who brought a grenade with him to work and was playing with it when it went off.

A nice collection of Motel Signs from various parts of the US. I always wanted to stay at a Motel for some reason but I never got the chance, I guess since you see it so much in the movies and we really don’t have any similar places in Kuwait it becomes like something you can’t have which makes you want it more. I was surprised to find out that Kuwait Airways planes had nicknames and I was really surprised to find out that one is called Miskan (although they spell it Meskan). Next time I fly with KA I will try to find out the nickname of the plane I am going to be flying with. The design of the Nintendo Revolution controller was finally made public today. Its incredibly creative and definitely kicks both Microsoft and Sonys ass in the controller department.. especially Sony who have their weird looking boomerang controller. The Revolution controller comes in two parts (one is pictured above) and has motion sensors so it can detect if you are holding the controller sideways or which direction you are turning it. This can be used in games so for example if you are playing Star Wars you can swing the controller around and your character on the screen will swing his Light Saber the same way you are. So now the Nintendo Revolution has 2 things going for it, you can play old Nintendo games on the system plus it has an incredibly smart controller. [Link]

I came back home today to find the most disgusting advert hanging on my door… a fucking tampon box! I am not even sure its tampon, could be adult diapers since they are so huge. I mean come on this is just fucking disgusting. Imagine coming home and finding a box of Always hanging from your door. If it was some unknown brand I would understand their desperation but Always doing this?!?! So I can’t view porn privately at home but its somehow ok for companies to hang tampons on my door. Fucking gross.

I guess its because I am hungry but just reading this review and seeing the picture of the amazing burger has made me also want to have a nice juicy hamburger for lunch. Both of the places that were reviewed are on my to do list the next time I visit New York. Now where will I have my lunch… [Link]

This is a cool mac app I just downloaded. The application is called Comic Life and allows you to easily create comics using your pictures and text. Its VERY EASY to use and has numerous options for a variety of layouts and balloons. I was easily able to create a stupid but really cool looking comic in like less then a minute since it automatically loaded up my iPhoto pictures automatically in the sidebar and allowed me to just drag and drop images into the layout. You can download it and try it and its only 4MB. [Link]
