In regards to the post below, Nat was able to get a ticket to Kuwait because she used her Beirut to Kuwait ticket. Her original Jazeera Airways flight which was supposed to take off from Beirut on Sunday took off from Damascus instead. I was worried Jazeera would cancel her ticket “by mistake” but they didn’t and honored her ticket and even her seat number.

I have already mentioned a whole bunch of times on this blog how great Jazeera Airways is and their recent actions in regard to the war in Lebanon has been extraordinary.

Carlsb3rg posted this link to an article on ticketing corruption in the forum. Two researchers found that the number of parking tickets that legally-immune foreign diplomats acummulate in NYC and refuse to pay is a great measure of how corrupt their home countries are. The iPod that I won from itoot just arrived to my US mailbox. Because it took them a while to send it they also sent a sleeve with it to make up for the delay.

There seems to be a large fire at the Shuwaikh port. According to Stallion, a storage warehouse inside the port compound between the ugly blue building and the free trade zone caught fire.

Mr. Bo9agr has pictures of a fire that happened in Hawalli. I can’t read the Arabic but the building looks like the one I park in front of when I go to get my computer stuff. Its near Walla’a Complex. [Link]

I just added a link on the top menu called Proxy. This will take you to a page where you can type a url of a blocked site and it will open it for you. For example the blog I don’t like you in that way is blocked for some stupid reason in Kuwait but if you go to the proxy page and type the website address it will open the page for you. Try it out. The toot results are finally out and guess who got second place! Thanks to everyone who voted, I am Nat is now a proud owner of an iPod nano. Congrats Bakhos for getting first place and Naseem for getting third (sorry I know how much you wanted the nano).

Now over the weekend I won a Pepsi soccer ball and I know its not as fancy as an iPod nano but if anyone wants it all you need to do is visit your nearest Pepsi redemption center (i have no clue where they are) and collect the soccer ball signed by the Pepsi stars using the password 478-876-691. Only 1 person can get the ball so its for the first one who gets there 😀

The only 1970 Cougar in Kuwait. Interior needs minor work, some stiching. This sort of interior job is available in Kuwait and the cost is minimal.

Ok, so I am like 1 position away from an iPod nano. The Toot design competition is going to end on the 15th and I am currently in like 3rd place. I need to be in 2nd place to get that nano so take a second and go vote for me. In return, Nat will pose naked with the Nano. Sounds like a good deal? I knew they were going to be expensive but I didn’t know they were going to be THAT expensive. I am not even talking about the $21,000 ticket for a skybox seat in the final game I am talking about ticket prices to regular games for example the cheapest ticket to the Argentine Vs Netherland game is like $1,400!
