I am back from todays shoot. Was out in the sun since 9AM. I asked Nat to give me our sunblock in the morning but she couldn’t remember where she put it so now I look like a tomato, my face and neck are burnt. Thank you nat!

I was at the Marina Mall food court for lunch when I noticed the interactive map screen upstairs had an issue. Turns out it runs on Windows… [Link to larger picture]
Salad Bar Hacking
Before you go to a salad bar (like at Pizza Hut) make sure you check this out. [Link]
I just purchased an internet card so I could get online from work. Our internet is still down and this is the first time I use a dial up connection in a long time. KD1 got me 15 hours of internet using Fasttelco which I think is really cheap. The connection though is veryyyy slowwww, I hate dial up. I still remember when I used to get kicked out of BBS’s because of my 2400 baud modem. Nibaq and I used to connect our computers together and he would send me pictures of the Texas A&M chick, each picture would take over 5 minutes to download from him because of my slow modem..
Jackson Verdict
Me and Nat are up now watching Michael Jacksons four SUV’s convoy head towards the courthouse. The jury has reached a verdict and they will be reading it as soon as Michael arrives. Watching the convoy heading towards the courthouse reminded me a lot of when I watched OJ Simpsons chase on TV back in Canada. I love this live stuff and I hope he turns out not guilty.
Update: Michael is NOT guilty of any of the 10 counts.
The Shoot(s)
OK, tonight I found out I have a 5 day long photography shoot coming up. It starts on Wednesday 8AM and ends sometime next week. The worse part about this is the first shoot on Wednesday will be on a 70 foot yacht and you know how much I hate boats. I don’t know or should I say I don’t think I will be able to update the blog during the mornings like I usually do so I will probably be posting during the evenings. Its going to be a really hectic week…
No Internet For You
Today I got to the office and to my surprise we didn’t have any internet. Something was wrong with the server and no one in the office had internet. It was the most dreadful experience of my life. From 8AM till just now 6:30PM I was without internet!! I tried to call the internet but that didn’t work…
From the Daily News: Salman Rushdie corroborates that new study that says video games can be good for you. Back when the the “Satanic Verses” author was hiding from the Ayatollah Khomeini’s 1989 death warrant, “My main pastime was playing Nintendo games,” Rushdie told Webster Hall curator Baird Jones at the Francesco Clemente show at the Larry Gagosian gallery the other night. “I devoted so much time to mastering Super Mario that I must have been the world champion by the end of my seclusion”… [Source]
Sex Huts for the World Cup
Dortmund, one of 12 host cities for the 2006 World Cup, is hurriedly building wooden sex huts with the aim of encouraging discretion among prostitutes and their clients. According to Reuters, “experts estimate as many as 40,000 prostitutes may travel to Germany to offer their services to fans during the tournament.” To make them comfortable, “Dortmund plans to arrange the Dutch-designed huts … in an area with condom machines and snack bar.” Like a highway rest stop, but cooler. “We don’t want a situation where prostitutes and their clients disturb residential areas,” says an official. Paris Hilton’s Swimwear
“What’s the most frequent question Carl’s Jr. (Hardees) is getting from viewers about the “hot” Paris Hilton car wash ad? According to a Carl’s Jr. executive, it’s the swimsuit.” The swimsuit is made by Shay Todd, the couple who have been dressing Hollywood’s elite in sexy bikinis for the last four years. So if you are interested, you can have a swimsuit just like the one Paris Hilton wore in the commercial for just $185. [Link]

Just read this article in Arab Times where they are talking about building a rail system in Kuwait in preparation for the major traffic congestion we will be facing in the upcoming future. Now the cool thing in the article is they are proposing the futuristic Personal Rapid Transit (PRT) to connect major buildings. It was the first time I had heard about it so I did a bit of research and this thing is like super cool. Its like mini trains that hold around 4 people for example, and if you are say at the main NBK branch in Kuwait City and you want to go to Souk Sharq for lunch, instead of taking the car you just hop into one of these tiny air conditioned capsules and tell it to go to Souk Sharq and it will take you. This system just requires major buildings to be connected via tracks and you no longer need to your car to travel from your building to another down the street. Here is a link with more information on PRT. [Link]
