I don’t know how I didn’t hear about this from before but Pet Shop Boys (one of my favorite bands) are releasing a new album on May 23rd. The new album is called Fundamental and its available on Amazon right now as a limited edition import version which is double CD. So I was at Hardees yesterday getting cookies when I noticed that they had replaced all the pictures of the burgers on their display menus with new ones that used the Thick Burger patty. Someone commented the other day in one of my posts that Hardees no longer had “normal” burgers only the Thick Burgers so I asked the guy if this was true and to my surprise it was! You can no longer have a normal Mushroom & Swiss for example, you can only have the Thick Burger version which honestly tastes terrible.

I hate the flavor of the Thick Burger and I don’t understand how they can phase out their regular beef patty. Now the cheapest combo is KD1.400 and its the Roast Beef & Chedder, everything else is KD1.500 and up. They are now officially the most expensive fast food joint compared to Burger King (the previous record holder), McDonalds, KFC and Texas Chicken.

I just watched Apples new ‘psychedelic’ iPod ad and its really trippy. The spot features the song Love Train from the super hot Aussie band Wolfmother. [Link]

Urgh, its not that the album is bad but I am just so over their sound.

Sonic Youth – Rather Ripped
This album isn’t out but I am looking forward to it. I really liked their last album Sonic Nurse so I am hoping this is going to follow in the same style.

I read the scarriest news yesterday.. I read that Ben Affleck might be the captain of the next Star Trek movie! I think that would be the worst idea in the history of movies. We don’t want a young pretty boy captain, it would ruin Star Trek the same way Tobey Maguire ruined Spiderman. Patrick Stewart I beleive has been the best captain so far but if they wanted someone younger then they should get Kiefer Sutherland. He would be a good strong captain and they could get Roger Cross, the guy who plays Curtis Manning on the show 24 to be his sidekick Klingon. Then you could have the nurse from Prison Break, she could be the doctor on the ship, and Sawyer from LOST could be the second in command. Wow that would be a good team. [Link]

Did you ever want to smell like chocolate chip cookies or bubble gum? Do you like the smell of saw dust and wished you could smell like it? How about lobster, did you ever wish you could smell like lobster?

The reason I am asking is because I just found this site via BoingBoing that sells all these weird scents as perfume. They have a really huge list of weird perfumes including the smell of leather, paperbacks, applepie, paint, popcorn and more stuff. I think I would be interested in the Gin&Tonic perfume.. [Link]
