I changed my plans and am now going to the boat show tomorrow, but a friend of mine Stallion, passed by yesterday and has posted about his experience. He also took a ton of pictures, day and night shots which you can check out also on his blog. [Link]

Yesterday was the launch of the Lamborghini IMSA which I posted about earlier in the week. Marzouq was there and took pictures and posted them on his blog along with a ton of pictures. [Link]

I never thought much about Porsche Cayman’s until I saw this 700hp RUF version. Sadly this monster is out my league priced at around $300,000. [Link]

AT WORK: you get to pay all your expenses to go to work, and they deduct taxes from your salary to pay for prisoners.

IN PRISON: You spend most of your life inside bars wanting to get out.
AT WORK: You spend most of your time wanting to get out and go inside bars.

IN PRISON: You must deal with sadistic wardens.
AT WORK: They are called managers.

This is the strangest, weirdest and funniest thing I have ever seen. I still don’t believe it. There are goats in trees, this is not a hoax!

The tree the goats are in is an evergreen argan tree. It is found mostly only in Morocco. The tree reaches heights of 25-30 feet, and has a knobby, twisted trunk that allows for goat climbers. The goats climb the tree because they like to eat the fruit of the tree, which is similar to an olive.

The Dry Valleys of Antarctica get almost no snowfall, and except for a few steep rocks they are the only continental part of Antarctica devoid of ice. The terrain looks like something not of this Earth; the valley floor occasionally contains a perennially frozen lake with ice several meters thick. Under the ice, in the extremely salty water live mysterious simple organisms, a subject of on-going research.

Emily Sharpe, a reader of the blog sent in a link to the following video which was shot by her during the swearing in of new Kuwaiti Minister of Education, Nouriya Al-Subeeh during the Parliamentary session. The session was disrupted by Islamist MPs who objected to the fact that she refused to wear the hijab (headscarf), which she does not normally wear.

Does anyone else find this new Burgan Bank ad cheesy? It also reminds me of the Subway “Kaifi” campaign that were released last year. I tried to find a copy of those Subway ads but I couldn’t.

There is a new blog called Kuwait Health in which the writers are trying to promote health care reform in Kuwait. Anyone who has experienced public hospitals in Kuwait will appreciate what these guys are trying to do. You can check out their blog by visiting q8health.org

I don’t think newspapers should participate in April Fools. It’s just lame. Newspapers are supposed to be a source of truth not hoaxes. If you don’t know what I am talking about check the main page of the Kuwait Times. They have an article saying that alcohol is now legal in Kuwait. Its very easy for newspapers to pass a hoax as truth because people trust newspapers. They are taking advantage of this trust, I didn’t fall for it but how many people out there today will? [Link]
