I got an Xbox 360 last week and a few minutes ago I just finished playing Pro Evolution Soccer with some guy in Ecuador. It was my first time playing on Xbox Live and it was pretty cool talking and playing with someone who was all the way across the world. I thought it wasn’t possible to play online because of lag but I am on a 512KB Qualitynet connection and I didn’t have any problems.

Official pictures of the new redesigned Lexus LX are out and no surprise here, its UGLY. It looks pretty close to the Land Cruiser spy shots that were posted online previously. [Link]

Found this old Abenderado commercial while flipping through YouTube. Anyone who watched any TV in Kuwait pre-1990 will surely remember this. If anyone can find me the old Hungry Bunny or Pizza Italia commercials I would be very grateful!

I was flipping through YouTube looking for a certain commercial when I by mistake found this video clip. Its a trailer for a documentary about Kuwait and some of the places they recommend tourists to see are Canary Restaurant, some electronics store and Taxi Al Resala! [YouTube]

The documentary turned out was done by 3 Angels Power Film Production here in Kuwait so I decided to google them to find out more about them. I found their website and.. its interesting. Make sure you let their page load and then check out all their sections. [Link]

Emily Sharpe, a reader of the blog sent in a link to the following video which was shot by her during the swearing in of new Kuwaiti Minister of Education, Nouriya Al-Subeeh during the Parliamentary session. The session was disrupted by Islamist MPs who objected to the fact that she refused to wear the hijab (headscarf), which she does not normally wear.

A user in the forum posted a link to this video of a girl belly dancing at the public beach near the Kuwait Towers. Nothing too controversial but still, its always fun to watch. [Video]

Does anyone else find this new Burgan Bank ad cheesy? It also reminds me of the Subway “Kaifi” campaign that were released last year. I tried to find a copy of those Subway ads but I couldn’t.

There is a new blog called Kuwait Health in which the writers are trying to promote health care reform in Kuwait. Anyone who has experienced public hospitals in Kuwait will appreciate what these guys are trying to do. You can check out their blog by visiting q8health.org
