Tickets to Ahmadi Music Group’s concert this week are currently on sale but quickly running out. AMG will be performing music by Vivaldi who many consider being the best-loved composer of the Baroque era. There are two performances taking place, one on Thursday and the other on Friday and tickets start at 10KD. If you’re interested, here is the link to get you tickets. Link

54th Palestinian Cultural Exhibition Opens Today

The Palestinian Culture Center has been operating in Kuwait since the early 1970s. Every year they hold an exhibition with the aim to keep this vibrant culture alive and support underprivileged women and children in the camps. Starting today till Friday the center will be holding its heritage exhibition at the Sadu House.

The exhibit will have hand-stitched dresses, shawls, and cushions for sale, as well as handmade ceramics, books, and food aimed to preserve the Palestinian national identity and showcase how it adapts to modern times.

COMFEST 2022 Tickets Available

If you’re planning to visit the Comic Festival Convention this year tickets are currently for sale on The Arena website. The event is taking place from March 29 to April 1st and they are currently selling a 4-day pass for KD20. On the actual COMFEST days, you can also purchase a 1-day pass for KD10 or you could cosplay and go in for free since there is free entry to cosplayers.

If you want to purchase a ticket, here is the link.

Note: The website has a bug where when you try to purchase a ticket the website turns Arabic with no option to switch back to English. So maybe have someone translate for you or use Google Translate.

International Women’s Day at The Garden

International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. To mark the occasion tonight there is a musical event taking place at the French Institute’s garden that will feature some of the best female musicians and artists in Kuwait.

The Staged in Kuwait improv comedy night is back for the first time in 2 years. They’re going to be performing at the AUS auditorium on March 18th with a brand new team and a brand new show. They’re my favorite local comedy troupe and if you haven’t been to one of their shows before you should definitely take this opportunity to do so.

The Kuwaiti Jazz Collective at JACC Tonight

The Kuwaiti Jazz Collective will be performing BeBop classics tonight at the Recital Hall at JACC. The Jazz Collective will be performing classics by great heroes of jazz including Cannonball Adderley and Duke Ellington and they’ll be performing from 7:30PM to 8:30PM. No tickets or reservations are required.

This weekend is incredibly busy with lots of things happening including two large events. Starting today till Saturday you have the Bugsha Market taking place at Green Island. Then on Friday and Saturday, you have the Made Food Festival taking place at Kuwait Motor Town. I’m coincidently taking part in the Car Open Track on Saturday at KMT so it should be interesting with the event happening there as well at the same time. If you have a bicycle you could go Saturday morning and ride your bike at the track and then when done, enjoy the festival or chill and watch the racing events at the track.

Quite a few things to do this weekend. Today is the last day of the GCC Camel Racing Tournament but there is also a market taking place at Murouj. Friday is a bit slow but if you’re at the chalet then you have The Hype by Drive In taking place at Bnaider 264. Saturday is the busiest day with a Poetry & Jam Night taking place as well a few other interesting events that day including Yoga Not in the Desert. Comic Festival Convention 2022 at The Arena

I just found out that this year’s COMFEST 2022 is going to be held at The Arena, the new venue part of the 360 Mall expansion. The Arena is a 5,000+ capacity purpose-built indoor live entertainment and events space that was designed to world-class standards. No events have been held at the venue yet so COMFEST 2022 will probably be the first event to be held there.

The event will be taking place from March 29th to April 1st, no tickets are on sale yet but to stay posted follow them on instagram @comfestcon or visit their website for more information comfestkw.com
