I started watching Constellation this week. Not sure I like it, there are some interesting moments, but there’s a lot I also find really boring, mostly the none space scenes.

Dune: Part 2 is out this weekend, I’m at the airport now heading to London so I’m planning to watch it there. I’ve also filled my iPad with a ton of shows to watch on the plane including Mr & Mrs Smith, Obliterated, House of Ninjas, and the latest season of Formula 1: Drive to Survive.

I’m obsessed with Masters of Air. After the first two episodes I wasn’t really that impressed with the series since I had just finished watching Band of Brothers and The Pacific, but now that I’m 5 episodes in, I don’t want it to end.

I’m not invested in any of the characters, I actually might only be able to pick one out in a line up, but as long as I’m with them on the bomber on our way to a bombing mission, I’m heavily invested in whomever is on board.

I think I’m over True Detective. The new seasons started off really exciting, but as it’s been progressing the more bored I’ve been getting from it.

I started watching Criminal Record on AppleTV+ because I read good things about it. I think I’m five episodes in and it’s also not doing it for me.

One last disappointment to cap off this week. I tried watching the movie Saltburn but found it very very boring.

But, to end on a high, Griselda was great. Not generally a fan of Sofía Vergara, but this had to be her best performance of her career or at least my favorite, although I just have Modern Family really to compare it to.

Curb Your Enthusiasm season 12 just started and the first episode was hilarious. It got me thinking about my top 5 funniest shows ever and I think Curb definitely makes the list which would look like this (in no particular order):

• It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia
• Parks & Recreation
• The Office (US)
• Curb Your Enthusiasm
• Seinfeld

If it was a top 10 list I’d squeeze Veep and Arrested Development into the list, maybe Lucky Louie, Malcolm in the Middle, Party Down, Master of None, Extras, and Eastbound and Down. Ok that would be a Top 13 list. I also feel like I’m forgetting a show.

This past week I also tried to watch “The Curse” but couldn’t get into it. I actually still have no idea what the show is, might have to try again later. I also started Griselda, I’m two episodes in and I like it so far.

Two episodes of Masters of the Air is out on AppleTV+ and I watched both this week. The first episode was pretty slow and not that great, but things picked up in the second episode. As I’ve previously mentioned, I watched both Band of Brothers and The Pacific in preparation for Masters of the Air which is considered the third companion to the series. I feel it’s still too soon to judge the show with just two episodes out, so not sure how it already has an 8.0 on IMDB, but in any case, I’m looking forward to the third episode.

I finally finished the new season of Fargo, it was great, a very cool ending and sad that the season is over now. Other than that I haven’t watched anything new, been rewatching The Expanse so currently binge watching that but I do have some of the previous TV shows and movies recommended by you guys on my to do list. Need to start going through those as well.

One of my favorite movies of all time used to be Menace II Society. It’s an old film that came out back in 1993 when I was living in Canada and really into hiphop. It came out around the same time as some other great influential movies including CB4, New Jack City and Juice, all movies related to gang violence and hip hop.

Since then I’ve watched Menance II Society a bunch of times, but the last time might have been 20+ years ago. Recently I was watching live TV on Paramount+ and it came on, and damn it’s still a great movie. It has so much going for it from great acting, incredible writing and lots of scenes that would have gone viral on Tiktok if the movie had come out today. If you haven’t watched it before, add it to your list.

I also watched the first episode of the new season of True Detective. That was also really great and now can’t wait till the next episode. Latest episode of Monarch was also great, and so was Fargo, this week was a good tv week.

The new season of True Detective comes out on Monday starring Jodie Foster. I’m looking forward to it because haven’t really been watching much lately.

I’ve started The Expanse all over again, I think the first time I watched it I stopped at season 3, and then completely forgot the storyline and characters so now restarting and going to watch it all the way through.

I haven’t watched any TV all week since I’ve been in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. I did get to watch Wonka last night and it wasn’t bad, didn’t realize it was going to be a musical until it actually started. I didn’t realize “The Iron Claw” was released or would have watched that instead!

I watched the recently released sci-fi film Rebel Moon a few days ago on Netflix, not sure why it got negative reviews it was actually pretty entertaining. I also finished rewatching the old World War II mini series Band of Brothers, and just started on the follow up to it, The Pacific.

So far I think Band of Brothers was a much better series, only because it mostly took place on the battle fields while The Pacific has a lot more stories that take place off the battlefield. Both are really great shows and you should watch them if you haven’t before (they’re on Netflix).

Both those shows are 10 years apart and now around 10 years later, they’re releasing another companion to the series called Masters of the Air. It comes out next month and you can watch the trailer below.

It’s been a super busy week so haven’t really watched any TV. Barely got time to start watching The Northman yesterday, only to realize halfway that I already watched it last year. I did manage to watch episode of Monarch but it was just a filler episode and incredibly slow and uneventful.

Amazon released a teaser trailer for the new TV series Fallout. Similar to The Last of Us, Fallout is also based off a popular video game. Hopefully it will also be as good.

I also finally got around to starting the new season of Fargo, and as expected, it’s really great. If you’ve never watched Fargo before btw, you can start watching from any season since the seasons aren’t connected to each other.

The third season of the British series Slow Horses is out. If you’ve never watched it before you should since it’s great. The show follows a team of British intelligence agents who are basically MI5 rejects. It’s an easy show to start watching, has an IMDB rating of 8.0, and you can watch it on AppleTV+.

I watched the first two episodes of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters earlier in the week and I definitely recommend watching it or signing up to AppleTV+ to watch it. I also started watching the new season of The Crown and it’s not as bad as some people have made it out to be, it feels like the last season to me, so if you were fine watching season 5 you’ll be fine with season 6. And just a reminder, the new season of Fargo comes out today.

I think I watched more TV on TikTok this week than I did on my TV. I’m still watching Lessons of Chemistry, it’s still pretty good. Also started the new season of For All Mankind, I think it’s gotten fairly boring, even last season wasn’t that great. Can’t wait till Saturday though when the first episode of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters comes out.
