The iPod Nano problems seem to have hit the main stream media. Today Gizmodo, Engadget and iLounge reported on the issue. It will be interesting to see Apple reaction to all this. [Link]

The past week I have been having serious issues with Spam on this blog. For some reason my previous spam checker Hashcash was letting some spam through and I was getting at least 30 comments a day via email awaiting my approval that were all spam. So I decided to try a different Spam plugin called Spam Karma. Right away it detected the recent spams and adds them to the blacklist. So far I haven’t received any new Spams but the day is still young. Hopefully though I won’t be having any more spam issues.

I first saw the spy shots back in July and now the official images are out. My opinon still stands, I hate the front but love the ass. The inside is pretty decent, good to see American car makers finally paying more attention on improving the interiors. [Link]

Seems the videogame industry is pretty pumped up about Nintendo’s Revolution controller. Now I can’t wait till 2006. [Link]

Yesterday I added a spammer to the blacklist and it seemed to have blocked everyone and anyone from posting a comment on the blog. I emptied the blocklist now and everything is back to normal. Sorry about that.

The design of the Nintendo Revolution controller was finally made public today. Its incredibly creative and definitely kicks both Microsoft and Sonys ass in the controller department.. especially Sony who have their weird looking boomerang controller. The Revolution controller comes in two parts (one is pictured above) and has motion sensors so it can detect if you are holding the controller sideways or which direction you are turning it. This can be used in games so for example if you are playing Star Wars you can swing the controller around and your character on the screen will swing his Light Saber the same way you are. So now the Nintendo Revolution has 2 things going for it, you can play old Nintendo games on the system plus it has an incredibly smart controller. [Link]

I came back home today to find the most disgusting advert hanging on my door… a fucking tampon box! I am not even sure its tampon, could be adult diapers since they are so huge. I mean come on this is just fucking disgusting. Imagine coming home and finding a box of Always hanging from your door. If it was some unknown brand I would understand their desperation but Always doing this?!?! So I can’t view porn privately at home but its somehow ok for companies to hang tampons on my door. Fucking gross.

A girl who just came back from Germany brought with her super cool mints called Monster Mints. I tried the red one which is Cinnamon flavored and fuck is it strong. It tastes like the red Chiclets packet except 100 times as powerful. Its so strong that its painful to keep on your tongue. Do they sell these in Kuwait? I haven’t seen them before but I will be requesting them from Sultan Center. [Link]

OK, this post is connected to yesterdays Hot Hot Hot post. Here are pictures of the inside of my Mac so you guys can understand my problem. As you can see the interior of a Mac is laid out different from PC’s and so cooling devices that work with PC’s wont work on Macs. Currently air is being brought in using the fan over the hard drive and coming out from the top from the power supply.

Suggestions to my cooling issues are welcomed. I have 4 hard drives inside by the way, 2 side by side and 2 on top of each other on the far right.

I just downloaded FireFox 1.5 (Beta 1) and first thing I noticed is that none of my extentions are compatible with it. Other then that FireFox still visually looks the same. I was expecting the icons maybe to be updated or something. The Prefrences control panel has changed, it now works like most other Mac apps. The browser seems a bit faster in loading up websites and actually FireFox 1.5 as a whole seems lighter and quicker. Had lunch at Subway Salmiya yesterday. It was very disappointing. I ordered the Subway Melt and the Italian BMT and both of them the ingredients they used looked a lot different then the usual. The two sandwiches also didn’t taste like usual. Hopefully this isn’t the begining of the end for Subway in Kuwait. I have seen this happen before in Lebanon, everything was going perfect then suddenly the owner in Lebanon decided to use local ingredients, suddenly everything started to taste drastically different and then later he was shutdown by Subway International.

On the bright side they are accepting Sub Club cards once again, this time they are using different colored and sized stickers.

I think this is such a good deal. Something so slick and sexy for only $199. I never liked the large iPods thats why I sold my second generation 20GB iPod and got a 4GB iPod mini instead.. even though I have over 60GB worth of MP3s. I like the iPod shuffle because its a memory stick and an mp3 player. Its practical for moving work from my office to my house and Nat loves taking it to the gym because its so light and unbreakable. I love the iPod mini because its small, gorgeos and blue. The large iPod to me serves no purpose. Its ugly, big and doesn’t hold all my MP3s. Maybe once they come out with an 80GB iPod then it might attract me but for now I believe the Shuffle and mini (ok now Nano) are both all I need.

Even recent survey says that on average a person carries 375 MP3s while on average an iPod user carries 504. That fits the Shuffle and Nano perfectly. Now I just need to find someone who will buy my mini so I can go order a Nano.
